    Hello!

Have a dream holiday to Antigua all booked for June but have my next annual leave planned for end of October this year. A few weeks ago Expedia sent out a calender and map to show where to go in which month and Hawaii is apparently great in October with a temp of 31 degrees.

Obviously it is sooooooooooo far away (17 hours flying) that all the usual holiday companies don't do holidays there and it is down to obscure uk holiday companies like www.hawaiian-dream.co.uk to provide holidays. There are 6 different islands each offering something different plus stopovers in Las Vegas or L.A to consider as well to break up the flying times. Does anyone have any Hawaii input/thoughts/experiences to give me some sort of idea where to start? Hawaii is somewhere I do not have a single person I can ask about it; apart from an old Uni friend I haven't spoken to in 5 or 6 years which would be a bit much out of the blue!

    Thanks guys!

Our friend stayed at the Rui Garopa, when do you go?
Well the Mexican trip might be in November as waiting for the hurrican season to be over..

Have done some research on TA and narrowed it down to Iberostar Tucan, EDSS & EDR (both Eldorado hotels) - all have good reviews so just need to pick one! I really like the look of EDSS but am wondering if the transfer will be tiring after the long fligh as it's the furthest away of the 3 hotels...

Ah now I wish i'd seen this earlier. The post above was posted 3 days before we returned from our honeymoon in Mexico at the Iberostar Tucan. We desperately wanted to go for the El Dorado SS but really couldn't afford it.

The Tucan was an amazing hotel. Wild monkeys in the trees outside the hotel! Staff were fantastic, food was great and the whole holiday was perfect.

Anyone considering Mexico - do it!

We swam with dolphins, snorkelled at Xel Ha and Partied down at Coco Bongos.

The weather was amazing (end August/beginning of September)

I doubt we'll ever be able to afford to do it again but if we got the chance, we'd be back there like a shot.

sexki11en, my partner had really wanted to go to that hotel and I picked EDSS! Did you have to prebook restaurants etc and did they get busy? Was there alot of kids around.. maybe next time we'll try it!

I wouldn't return to EDSS as it's too far for us after a long flight, 3hr transfer as I understand it's not always that long.. We only had two drop off aswell..

Please let us know how Antigua is on your return! I've never been to Hawaii either so would love to hear how this goes.. Have you narrowed this one down at all?

    Hi Summer,

Alas, no! I'm still waiting for the hawaiian dreams brochure to arive which doesn't bode well to actually booking with them!

Only 6 weeks to Antigua - can't wait - and in the gym every day so the stomach is flat for the photos!! LOL!

No question . Club FARU, MALDIVES. FIRST CHOICE. Much better than any carribean destination, fantastic value for money and a shorter flight than Mexico. See trip advisor.

I will let you know what Thailand is like on my return.
Did i get a good deal, we booked with kuoni and flying with qantas. This was more expensive than flying with Thai Airways but you get seat back tvs with qantas not with thai airways. Only going for 8 nights, offer was stay 4 nights get extra 4 nights free only had to pay supplement for breakfast on the free nights. Just cannot wait until Feb. :j

Hi chatbug are you back from Thailand now? Can't remember when you were going.

Also do you have any tips on the excellence resorts in Mexico? Or any other resorts i.e. Rui Palace. Want to head back but not sure of which resort yet.
