Hi,
Do you have any details on this? Were you asking for a second line in your home. My BT contact has said second lines are included in this deal so shouldn't be a problem.Just rang BT about the offer and they said the offer is only for new customers or returning customers for the new line offer. They said that martin had got his facts wrong. Anyone else had any luck with it when your an existing customer?0 -
:rotfl::TWell................just spent ages on phone to options team and quoted site and in the end insisted that they look at the comments from BT on the site themselves and after a lot of tooing and froing yeeeha
I now have a free second land line. But be prepared to argue alot, and stand your ground. Good Luck0 -
Hi yeah i did ask for a second line, but the lady spoke to her manager and said it's only for new and returning customers.0

Just rung and asked to cancel my order, when asked why, I said it's not on charging me one day when you are clearly offering it for free.
I was then immediatly given the offer and put through to the customer options team. Was told as long as you quote the offer you are entitled to it!
Thanks very much! That is fantastic money saving !!!1k to 10,00k in 2010 challenge member 242!0 -

I just tried calling again and the customer options team member told me that this offer can't be processed over the phone (that's only for people who have received a letter with a reference number), that it has to be done online.
How come I am getting a different response from everyone else?0 -
Hi folks.... I got the letter and this is what it says....
"Dear Me,
Moved away from BT for the promise of better value? Seen how our value has moved on and want to come back, but worried about re-connection charges? Don't be. If you place your order to return to BT and sign up for an 18 month contract, we'll waive any applicable connection fee. You could save £122.50. We also have these great value offers to welcome you back (it then goes on to describe the weekend only plan, the broadband option 1 from £7.78 and BT Vision digital TV."
It's signed by a Nigel Stagg, Managing Director, Customer Services incase you are asked.
Anyway you phone 0800 100 444 and quote "save on connection".
Hours are Mon - Fri 8am - 9pm, Sat 8am - 8pm and Sun 9amm -6pm.
Hope this helps someone....0 -
We signed up for a new line with BT on Monday. Since reading the MSE bulletin I've called BT to try and get the free connection. First time the woman wouldn't budge despite telling her I would look to cancel my order. Second time asked for the customer options team and was put through. You do have to quote the 06/09 offer bit but sure enough they agreed to cancel my existing order and place a new one with free connection! It did take a while to go through the whole order process again and the engineer is now coming out on Tuesday as opposed to Monday next week but definitely worth it to save £122.50!0

 I signed up yesterday, agreed the 122.50, and when i mentioned it was expensive was only given an option to pay over 6 months.
It's being installed on Tuesaday 28th? Does anyone know if i can cancel still?
YES I was told earlier today by BT, the latest you can cancel is midday of the day before the visit0
