    I paid via my account as I have been a customer for years, delivery date was Friday, nothing has come :(

    Will complain if it doesn;t arrive tomorrow.

    I'm in the same position. I'm giong away on holiday on Thursday though and really wanted the camera by then. I phoned their customer services number today and (after 15 mins in a queue) was told that as I have created a new account it can take upto 14 days to process. She was unable to give me any information as my account hadn't been set up. They really should say this when you place your order.

    We'll see if it arrives before Thursday, I'm not getting my hopes up :rolleyes:

    Yes, I'm the same - was given a delivery time of last friday, called up when I ordered (last tuesday) and asked how I access 'my account' and was told by a very rude customer services woman that my account can take 10-14 days to set up - why quote me a friday delivery then!?

    Am most annoyed as am going to a party on the 31st and wanted a camera for then; now I have to borrow my OH's £200 camera and be worried about it all night :(
  • I got this message this morning , i placed my order at 8am on Wednesday, there is no mention of the camera though, which is the only thing I wanted, oh well I suppose I got a free TV, i'm sure that will be good quality.

    I too, received the same email this morn saying these goods are now ready to be despatched:

    But as above, no mention of a camera, be it 2.1 or 3.1 as it should be. I have sent them an email, requesting they let me know when my 3.1mp camera is coming!! Won't hold em breath for a reply. It did actually state my name on the email, but no account number, I chose to pay by my card and not set up an account with them, I havent checked my bank account as yet to see if they have charged me for the camera and cap at £12.98, or just the £2.99 for the cap.
    Im still unsure whether to prove a point and send it back, if it evr arrives, or whether to keep it for my son, for the sake of a tenner, itl make a great Bday pressie for him, and at 7yrs old, he's not gonna be that bothered on quality!

    beccatt doesn't mention anything about a free TV (or coffee maker) but it looks as though we'll be getting this as well (for what it's worth) :rolleyes:

    The emails that are going out do say "Note:-any goods ordered not shown below will be despatched when available" but I'm not holding my breath :whistle:

    Still 0/10 for communication from Empire :eek:
  • Same here, received an "update on your order" email today (delivery was supposed to be today but anyway) and it just states NET CURTAIN and COFFEE MAKER.

    I didn't open an account - just paid by credit card wednesday afternoon (15th) so at least it looks as if those orders did go through even if the outcome is ****

    My camera has just arrived via courier.I ordered it on the 14th and received an email confirming that it was a 3MP model. But guess what? It is the 2MP model. So it will have to go back ,I guess, unless any other action is being suggested. What deception on their part. Never again. And they had the cheek to send me a catalogue. As if!

    So really Martin has sent out his email with this offer on to all of his lovely members who have been conned by Empire :rolleyes:

    Mine is supposed to arrive this week, i hope it's the 3mb one :o

    On receipt of Martin's Money Tips email, I ordered the 3MB camera for £19.99 (credit card). An order confirmation came through to my email address, but without my name, address or a customer reference number on it. On seeing Martin's amended notice that the 3MB camera was now being shown on the Empire website as 2MB, I immediately emailed Empire to say if they were sending me the 2MB camera or another inferior to the 3MB camera, that they were to cancel my order forthwith. This morning I received an email from Empire saying they had no record of any order from me!
