Morning All! Am still finding no motivation to do anything - which is a bit sad as there's loads to do! We went to visit Oxborough Hall yesterday, which was lovely.
Did manage to remove the muddy pawprints from the wooden floors when we returned. Have towels in WM waiting to be hung on line. Need to bake bread....or might just buy a loaf. Need to visit the gym too. Ironing pile is low again thanks to mammoth effort really early on Sunday morning. Dressmaking pile awaits... (2 pairs of trousers nd a nightie cut up ready to sew..)
Aussie - that must have been a real shock!!! Glad we're unlikely to find anything like that here!
Nic - thinking of you all.
Thriftlady - if you're anything like me you'll remember the toothpaste....on the way home!
Have a good day folks - and ((HUGS)) if you need one.Resolution:

Hey Guys!
I am back again!
I really must keep up with posting on here, but feel I just don't have enough going on to write about daily, so thinking maybe a weekly update of my antics keeps me posting without running out of things to say!
First of all....
Aussie: :eek::eek::eek::eek: *shudders* That is the reason I could never emigrate! I couldn't live so close to such creepy things!! ekkkkkk You're braver then I am!!
Lovely weather here, so beds have been stripped and in wash and will be put out on the line in a bit. Lots of pottering around today, maybe some baking, gardening and a few chores around the house.
Was helping at the animal shelter yesterday, haven't been down for 2 weeks as kids have been off school for the holidays. Whilst I haven't been there, they had taken in a pregnant cat who has now had kittens. There were 7 orginally but only 3 have survivedAs much as I have said I wouldn't bring a kitten home, I went to see them yesterday and I have fallen in love with them!
I feel bad as I would really prefer to give one of the older cats a home, but I just can't see an older cat fitting in well with my own cat I already have, where as I don't think a kitten will really bother her. So I am kinda trying to fight with myself about whether to have one or not, as I feel guilty for not helping one of the older cats.
Dinner tonight is freezer lucky dip, as I am trying to run down the freezer for the end of the month, so I can restock for a fresh new month.
Off to hang the washing out and enjoy this gorgeous weather!
Hugs to all!

Morning everyone,
Turning a bit grey here in Aberdeen here today unfortunately, hopefully it will pass and be sunny again.
SunnyGirl hope your weetabix loaf went well - this sounds great, I have never heard of this before! Where did you find a recipe?
I'm so impressed by everything you all manage to do here, I'm going for one step at a time. I really want a garden but that will be our next move hopefully in about a year but until then growing chillis on the window sill!
This week I've decided to stop watching TV in the evenings and get some more spring cleaning and sorting old clothes out etc. I'm also planning to try a washing up liquid recipe soon. Sometime I can't be bothered after work and just want to crash on the sofa!
Enjoy the sun if you have some,

Aussie - that must have been a real shock!!! Glad we're unlikely to find anything like that here!
My fIL found a 1m long Japanese Rat snake in his compost heap in North Wales last summer:eek:, it must have been dumped as they are not indigenous (sp) He managed to catch it and gave it to a local expert. He think it might have been there for a couple of years - it really put me off gardening for a while!0 -
Morning everybody...I typed my today's posting and deleted it all...................It bored me rigid.
So, having been up half the night with heartburn, I am going to rest for a while.....Today, my BEST is good enough.0 -
Looby_Lou EEEK!!!!:eek::eek::eek:
I knew there must be a good reason why I don't really like gardening!Resolution:

N9eave
Have you had your hand checked - you might need a stitch or two.
Aussie
Eeek!!! at the snake - it looks huge.
Thriftlady
If you are anything like me then you will have been repeating the word "toothpaste" to yourself so often that you will think you have already done it.
Treated myself to a cooked brekkie in the Remoska and have a pot of tea beside me , bliss!
Washing machine is about to finish so I can hang out the towels. Dishes are steeping in the sink so I need to get these done. Will put dough mix for bread roll in the Panny as DD loves the soft "squishy" rolls I made recently.
Still have roast pork left so DH and DD can have that with veg and roast poatoes for tea. Have pasta dish for DD(15) which is left from yesterday but if I add some more tomato and basil sauce to it , sprinkle grated cheese on top and bake it then it should be accepable!;)
Might see if DH can give me a lift to York if he gets home early as I really need some clothes for summer, preferably in the sales if there are any.
Sybil
How is the ankle?
Haalight
I hope that you are all right and hope to hear from you on here soon.
Csarina
I think if you were in charge then Rome would have been built in a day.
Please try not to run yourself down and pace yourself. (I'm so paced I'm going backward lol!)
Hugs to eveyone and seeyou later."This site is addictive!"

Celyn - hope the hands are okay
Is anyone spotting a pattern?
JadeLD - weetabix loaf is very pleasant indeed, and I think it can be found in the recipe index - at the top of the page. I'll try and find a linky
Failed linky - found recipe
2 crushed Weetabix
1 cup of sultanas
2 cups of Self raising flour
1 cup of sugar
Mix these dry ingredients together, then add 1 cup of milk and a teaspoon of mixed spice Stir again and pour the mix into a greased loaf tin, bake at 325 degrees for about 45 mins. Its wonderful slightly warm and always with butter/spread.
Icecubequeen - I would love a cute kitten, but the last cute kitten I got turned into evil cat.
Burgers for tea, washing and ironing are priority today, not having a good one but will try and get little bear to the end of the street.
I need to replace the tube of Metanium which goes a surprisingly long way when applied to furniture. The chemist is not far, we can try and get there.
Hugs to all.
Edited to add - Elona - I cross posted with you. I can't put the totally embarrassed smiley in an edit, but it wasn't my ankle that was in agony - it was my toe and I am giving no further details. It is throbbing nicely, but it isn't slowing me down. But thank you for thinking of it.
Also, Halight, I do miss your posts. How are you and the twins?Ankh Morpork Sunshine Sanctuary for Sick Dragons - don't let my flame go out!0 -
SunnyGirl hope your weetabix loaf went well - this sounds great, I have never heard of this before! Where did you find a recipe?
Jade
The weetabix loaf is indeed gorgeous and very easy to do. The recipe came from this forum, of course, click here for it. I had no mixed spice the first time I made it so just used cinammon. I did one last night with the weetabix minis and it's turned out very well. I sampled a large slice before bed to test :rotfl:

Mawnin' all
Betheebee & N9eav OUCH - hope the respective paws aren't too painful.
Aussie  much as I like snakes, I wouldn't want to find a large one that I couldn't immediately identify lurking in a drawer. I did acquire a Taiwanese Beauty Snake some years back, when the local paperboy found it in his bag after his paper round, but it was just a baby, and I knew immediately that it was a TBS.
SunnyGirl I hope DS1 is feeling a bit better, shame his mother doesn't want to know, but imho, he's a darned sight better off with you.
Mr LW is w*rking from home today - unexpectedly. The bod who should have done the early shift didn't, so Mr LW sort of picked up the dropped ball and ran with it iyswim - he did the early checks and will finish at 15:30. Downside is that I was going to get him to go to Morries in Letchworth at lunchtime for me; instead, we'll have to cobble up lunch from what's in the fridge (we've decided omelette with cheese, veggie bacon slices and pineapple) and go to MK Morries when he finishes. Anyhoo, he did get a "thankyou" from his boss, and the bod who should've been on earlies is now doing lates, that Mr LW should've been doing today. Complicated?I'll just sit in the corner and chew a slipper....:D
((((HUGS)))) to all who want/need one today, especially nic1lou2.
Right, hitting "post" now, let's see if Firefox can lose this one (2nd time I've typed this today).
Edit: Thriftlady don't forget the toothpaste! *g*If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0
