I've got some self seeded Himalayan Honeysuckles to pot up ready for a spot in the back garden. It grows like wildfire for me and has purple & green leaves, white flowers & purple berries in the summer so its a pretty plant. From the original one that I had there is now 7 in existence ;) My friend, next door neighbour & parents have some.

I have also got this plant, but when I bought it they called it a moroccan honeysuckle , but you are right, it spreads like mad, I did have it in a pot on the patio, but it kept self seeding in all the other pots , so I have moved it away from all the other plants.

Been out in the garden since 10.30, and am k*******d now :D, but it looks fab :T, I have put some corgettes in, mown the lawn, strimmed the edges, and cut round the edge of the grass with an edge cutter, raked, swept, and cut back a few things, phew, sitting for half an hour now before collecting dd.

Welcome to grandmasam, and buggalugs, its good here xx

Edited to add, Jayward, the cheapest place I have found for copper tape is Ebay xx ( great minds eh Diva ? :D)

Little bear has just found a pen we had for the millennium.

I think I need to clear out the pen drawer, or whatever is left.

Well, sausages will be put on the rack in the Remoska, mash and frozen veg, with condensed mushroom soup heated and used as a sauce undiluted or with a tiny splash of water.

Well, mash if I get a chance to do the pots, other wise bought oven chips again. :o

MSD - so glad you have heard from Tristan.

    Hi All

Hope you are all well. Been busy busy busy here lately.

We moved into our house a year and a half ago and so far we have done absolutely nothing with our gardens. Well until the weekend. We have started on the front. Dug over all the grass.........was a disaster, put down top soil and all that and sewed some new grass seed. Fingers crossed it grows! Lol! Ohhhhhh that reminds me I really should go bung some water on it while I remember.

House is ticking along nicely although there does seem to have been a severe lack of ironing on my part which I really must sort out. Lol.

Havent had dinner and have no idea what we will be eating. Was about to put something on when DH announced he was off to collect my birthday present................Im a big 25 tomorrow! No real plans to be honest, am going to my sisters for lunch and then my mum and dads for dinner, will be a treat in itself not having to cook!

    My plans for tonight are..........

    1. Water grass
    2. Clean path (so much muck getting walked into the house!)
    3. Give kitchen a quick clean
    4. Clean bathroom

Just decided this list could get way to long for me to handle so going to quit while Im ahead!

Hope you all have a nice night

    Linz xoxox
Its hard to wait around for that something you know may never happen, but its harder to give up when you know its everything you ever wanted.........

  • Evening folks!

Hugs to all who want/need them, especially nic1lou1 and those with poorly hands!

Have been AWOL for a while, so apologies for delinquency in not posting.

Very little OS going on at the moment - mainly pot washing, laundry and shopping.

Was away at the weekend - had a great time and had remembered to take some HM bolognese out of the freezer on Saturday morning to eat for Sunday tea when I got back - you lot are really teaching me to be more organised. Have done all laundry, except bedding - but will do that tomorrow when stuff currently on airer is dry.

Feeling very tired and somewhat dispirited at the moment - not enough to do at work and exams in less than 7 weeks for which I have done very little studying. I just want to be retired and have enough time to do the things that I want to do, but that is some decades down the line icon9.gif.

Anyway, will attempt to post properly from now on as much as I can. Off to make my tea.

    Good night, sleep tight.
