Okay, I'm asking this to get an idea of what screen resolution (or size) MSErs use, especially when they're using the web.

This is because I'm going to try and start working on my personal website again, and I want to make sure I'm using an appropriate resolution to work on the pages.

I read in an old HTML book a while back that the recommendation was to set your screen to 640 x 480 for web page design.

Apparently, according to my ATI Catalyst Control Center, I'm using 1280 x 768

I'm doing a resolution change in a minute to something more standard... :)

I use the native resolution of my iMac's display, which is 1440 x 900.
I read in an old HTML book a while back that the recommendation was to set your screen to 640 x 480 for web page design.

I would say 1024 x 768 would be more common now.

    1280 x 800.

    Standard laptop resolution.

    Desktop has a 1680x1050 and a 1280x1024 .

    I doubt there's many left using 640x480 or 800x600.

I have a feeling that other will win by a large margin. That was an old web developing book, nobody uses 640*480 these days. High-end mobile phones have that kind of resolution. You should be developing towards 1280*1024 and 1280*800, those are pretty much the minimum FS and WS resolutions these days.

1280*800 on my laptop, 1680*1050 on my desktop. Sometimes both on my laptop in fact.
They say it's genetic, they say he can't help it, they say you can catch it - but sometimes you're born with it
