I need new hair straighteners. Any tips on which ones to go for and where to buy etc.

I have medium length curly hair. Hairdresser can get straight but my Babyliss Ceramic coated ones aren't doing the job.

If you try GHD straighteners you'll never use anything else. Try hqhair.com, I've had loads of other makes and nothing touches them, any decent hairdresser uses them as well.

I thought it was going to be GHD.

Oh well I shall have to go and sell my body tonight to pay for them - no comments about only raising enough for postage!!

    Thanks all.

  • Nothing can touch GHD....I've had them all .......i just ordered a new pair there as daughter taking hers a way with her to uni .got them of JASONSHANKEY.CO.UK...they do ghd, free heat mat and ghd straightening spray for £84.95 and £5 delivery.hope that was good price hadn't realy time to check......but they are brilliant
  • It may be too late to save you from ruining your hair with GHD's but I thought I'd try.

I used to have GHD's and used them every day until my hair became severely damaged. I then went to John Fosters Salon in SE1 about 12 months ago( remember him from CH4 The Salon ? ) he used the T3's on my hair and the result was brilliant !!

They are so much kinder to your hair , your hair feels smoother looks shinier and I don't have to use them as often because the style lasts longer.

The point you are all missing with the temp control is that GHD's are preset to 210 deg C ........did you get that 210 deg C !! The reason you need a temp control is that we all have different hair types and lengths so some people only need say 160 deg C on their hair....imagine the damage if you have fine short hair if you use the GHD's at 210 deg C.

T3's are the top brand in the USA and they use a mineral called Tourmaline that makes the difference ( no one else has this including GHD )

I think you've all bought the marketing hype from GHD........DO YOU REALLY THINK ALL THE CELEBS USE THE PRODUCTS THEY ARE SEEN WITH !!

Ask the top stylists, if Toni & Guy, John Foster and Aveda use T3 straighteners every day and charge £200 or more for cut and style they know quality when they see it.

Now if you want to save money on them and I didn't ( bought them from the salon at £120 ) I've found these web sites that all sell T3's and are quite cheap.

    https://www.t3hair.com
    https://www.salonlines.co.uk
    https://www.hairtrader.co.uk

Expect to pay about £95................but they are the best and guaranteed for 2 years !!
