    Morning!

    Yuck- I'd hate to be up this early every day. Have to be at work early so need to jump in the shower and out by 7!

    Had 10, 10 and 50p on scratches yesterday! Nearly at payout for one!

    Was trying to but Eurostar tix but not sure they went through - will need to check or call this morning if you get a chance!

    Good luck to all those who! Whose kids are getting A or As level results.

    Have a good day!

    Hello all!

    I am knackered and don't feel great at all. My sinuses are playing up and I feel like I've got a pressure cooker sitting behind my left eye!

    Life, as always is busy. We went to a family gathering yesterday which was lovely and will be heading off to a friend's BBQ later this evening. Irbid morning was spent preparing a special meal for a festival celebrating brothers and sisters which was hard as I don't know all of the ritual. One of my brothers couldn't make it which was a shame but my dad will deliver food to him this evening.

    OH and I struggling with getting some us time at the mo - there are so many family things going on that we really are shattered! I am going to have to really think about how I spend my time!
    Other news -
    I have calculated that I will be debt free next Friday.
    I have booked a trip for me, OH, dad and one of
    my brothers to Paris next month. The payments went through on cc and will be paid next month.
    I have decided to seriously look into refurbing the flat. I willzpay for this on 0% cc and will be able to pay off the costs very quickly.
    It was not p but was able to get some Quidco cashback. The costs will be covered from next month's payments.

    Over the next few weeks I will need to decide if I will be refurbishing the flat or just making do and mending the necessary in order to get it ready for sale next year. If I do refurbish i will use a 0% offer that I can get until next year if
    necesaary. I will be able to make huge inroads into paying this off as I Don't have the other debt. I see no other way of getting it done.

    Another bit of money news -.both yesterday and today have been NSDs and 2 of my eBay items have bids on them (one with

    And finally, I received £34 for am old phone. This will be transferred to my newly opened savings account!

    Woo hoo -

    Hello Everyone,

    I have some fantastic news. I made my final overpayments on the credit cards yesterday. I still have to let the monthly payments go out but I have done it!

    Have been doing a lot of thinking about what i want for the future and where I want to be both financially and in other ways. DH finds it hard to think long term but that is really what I want and need to do.

    This weekend will be fairly busy but there is some time to work on my plan for the next year.

    Will probably come back later and post a list of what I need to do.

    Waving to you all!

    Hi Fay and Buffy

    Thank you so much. I'm not sure I quite believe it!

    I know I need to really make sure that I keep on top of things because I am prone to the odd spending spree!

    I have been thinking a lot about how to boost me and my confidence as it has had a bit of a knock in the last year. I have been doing a lot of thinking. Will be back later to share!

    Better head out to do a few things in town -
    • posting an ebay item;
    • picking up my new glasses;
    • seeing if I can get a Paris guidebook from the library (see MSE is rubbing off on me!)
    • buying a new academic diary for the next year;
    • paying some money into the bank - starting that savings account!
    • buy some bug deterrent;
    I've had breakfast - so no snacks in town. My weight has crept up and I need to get back in WW ways!

    See you all later
