Hi Taxi, I am sure I still am. I never know when it's going to hit but I know I really miss just chatting with her if an evening. I do try and call dad but it's not the same. I always used to joke that he couldn't get off the phone fast enough when I used to call from Uni!

This week has really been hard for all sorts of reasons and in many ways I am glad mum isn't here to have to deal with it. I just hope that things work out well. I know I am talking in riddles!

I'll be glad when it's tomorrow evening. We're going to see Penn and Teller tomorrow evening and the show has had good reviews. Am looking forward to an evening away from it all.

Waving to you all - will catch up at the weekend.

Hey urg, sorry to hear you've been feeling down lately, I agree with Taxi you probably will still be grieving, it never goes away but it does get easier. I still miss my Dad after almost 17 years!

Hope the weekend picks up, take care of yourself first though. If getting or fixing a kitchen or bathroom, smashing a few tiles might be therapuetic! x

    Hey Everyone

Not been on in a while - been a bit up and down and as usual - very busy. I really need to slow down.

New month started so we reviewed our first attempt at a budget and failed miserably! Oh well - some debt was still paid off and I have learned the very importantt lesson of LEAVING MY CREDIT CARD AT HOME!

So there will be a few challenges for the month of August:
    1. Leave the credit card at home and NO spending on it (via amazon! etc)
    2. Review bank accounts and send any extras to the debt
    3. 8 NSDs
    4. Aim to stick to grocery budget - in fact the Whole budget!
    5. Declutter like mad (at least 15 mins per day!)
    6. List 10 things on Amazon and Ebay per week
    7. Get the Estate Agent and builders round and decide what to do about home improvements
    8. 30 mins walking a day (losing the weight loss motivation and feeling very groggy for it)
    9. Apply for appropriate new jobs that I have seen advertised
    10. Do something nice for me every day!
Hope you are all doing okay

  • Hello my love

so glad you are back, I will catch up properly when I am less sleepy. Just been looked up by an old friend on FB. God that's embarrassing.

Will be back tomorrow to discuss the dreaded e bay and the enemy of the Credit Card xxx
    Nevertheless she persisted.

So this has been a funny but good week so far. On Saturday I fell on my bum and hve bruised my coccyx(sp)! It's blooming painful but the actual sliding downstairs would have been amusing to watch! I blame the postman who rang the doorbell incessantly which made me rush to get the door hence the crash bang wallup effect. The par el wasn't even for me in the end!

My other good news is that I had and an interview for a new job and got it. I am really pleased as it will give me some stability foe a while.

This year has been a really up and down year - the last time we had a loss lots happened and this year seems to be the way. I really do feel like I need to take the car out of the fast lane but it seems determined to keep me there. I would love some time out to think, catch up with myself and reflect but I don't think it is going to happen for a while!

Oh well, I have enjoyed a lovely evening with friends and had something sparkling to celebrate. I now need to just chill out!

On the money front, I am in the process of reviewing my bank accounts. I have also left the dreaded credit card at home! Next on the list is a bit of ebaying and amazoning which I'll do at the weekend.

    Waving to you all,

    Morning,

Sods law - trust me to have a day off and to be up early. Have decided that I may as well get up and do things I have been priscratinating about!
    • Go to bank
    • Go to post office
    • Ironing 1 hour
    • Washing - if I have a full load
    • Declutter 10 items - copying Hypno
    • Call jewellers to find out how much I'd get fir broken jewellery
    • Visit recommended jewellers
    • Find vouchers to have a congratulatory spending spree for free!
    • window shoping in London
    • list 5 items on amazon

there is more but I can't think of it. I want to have a day of fun but my back is going to slow me down. I am healing but am still very sore.

Some good news on the money front - I earned £25 from a Quidco offer. It's all tracked!

I'll get up now to get ready. May as well get as much as I can done and then go out to play!

    Have a good day everyone
