So, it's been nearly a month since DH and I got married. Life is great but far too hectic for both of us - work is busy and there are a lot of commitments.
Today marks the start of our financial life together. We both have lots to do get our finances in order. My finances aren't so bad and will be in order in about four months but OH needs more time and needs to learn some discipline.
We have roughed out a budget and listed our debts. OH wants to handle his own debts so I will focus on mine here and then start to make some decisions about my future finances. When OH finishes dealing with his debt next year I want to move to a bigger place so I need to get this place to a saleable position. I will get an estate agent in to assess what work will add value. It's a shame I didn't get to do the work to the flat that I wanted to do and to be albe to live with the changes but I need to get the best money for the flat.
Over the next few days I will start to post lists of things that I want to do and plans to help me to get there. I really need the motivation from this site to help me carry on.
Waving to you all

WOW...amonth since you got married...
Nice to see you back focussed with your next set of plans....this site helps in so many ways x0 -
Thanks Taxi - I do need to get myself sorted.
I need to vent as I am so uptight today. I had work to do for work and a long list of houseworky things to do yesterday as we are going out today. I do have to admit I am not the tidiest person or the most organised. OH kindly offered to help and cleaned the kitchen and bathroom. I am so annoyed with him as he is a tidy freak and has just got rid of things that I use. I feel so stressed about it - violated even - and it has really upset me. I know that I have too much stuff and he needs to have some space but if he shoves things away I can't find them and get even more stressed.
I feel so close to tears this weekned and really am not looking forward to going out for the day - I just want to hide in a hole and get my jobs done. I am too shattered to do anything in the evenings.
Right moan over - smiley face on.

Hello love,
As well as e baying we will be organising too then! I hate it when people move my stuff! - know exactly what you mean I hope you do have a good day, I get that feeling too that i would rather just stay home and get sorted. Hugs hon xxxNevertheless she persisted.0 -
Ahh know how you feel ..don't be too hard on him as he was only trying to help...men eh!!!0

my hubby helps by tidying stuff up.... into carriers, i can't find anything. i can certainly sympathise, i did have to point out to him yesterday that often the stuff that he's tidying into the bags is his and i just don't know where he wants it put so it's not just all me.
but love him dearly so guess i'll have to make more effort.

How did it get to Thursday? My life just seems to br running away. Was just saying on Hypnos thread about getting back into weigt loss and dealing with my sugar addiction. The weight is slightly going in the wrong direction. Just before I got married I was just in the stone below but now I am back to the middle of the current stone. Will aim to get into the next stone bracket by the end of the month.
On to money - OH and I have set a budget and are keeping a spending diary. We need to find our baselines in terms of what we need to survive. OH is insisting in repaying his own debts which means that I can focus on what I want to do this month. Have to review my accounts to sweep money into debt repayment. I think I might be able to get there by the end of August.
My goal for July is to really focus on decluttering and finding a pile to eBay. I want to get the Estate Agents here to start thinking about what I am going to do with the flat in time for selling it next year.
I also really need to decide what I am doing careerwise. I went on a great course the other day about moving forward. I am on a secondment and don't really want to go back to my old job if I can help it. The atmosphere there is awful. I really need to get applying for posts and really would like to stay with the same organisation.
Ooh - it feels a bit like the start of year. I didn't get get to plan for the year ahead in January so will Use this to think about m. And for the rest of the year.
Right better get up - lots to do. May even flylady a bit before work.

Looks like you've got everything under control.
Good idea about looking for the baseline with spending that's what I will be doing this month and good luck on the decluttering and finding loads to ebay.
good luck re the course....
happy New Year0
