Thanks guys - I don't know why. I feel a bit bashful about it. I guess even though it's a great achievement, there's been so much going on that it's hard to really celebrate. I haven't even got a treat in mind as a reward for myself. I had considered buying a new fountain pen (I have a thing about very good fountain pens) but it doesn't appeal. Although I reallly do fancy a relaxing massage - the best one I've come across recently is offered at the sports centre at work and it is really reasonably priced.
I will post on the roll of honour tomorrow - I've got a bit of time to myself tomorrow (shhhhh don't tell anyone!;)) and will have a think about how I've got there.
OH and I did choose rings today - I really haggled and got a great price on a ring that I had really liked last year by playing off two shops against each other (nearly 40% off the starting price!). The ring is pricey but I know it will be something that is unusual but still very pretty. We took Dad with us and he was well impressed with my haggling skills. He told me that mum had taught me well!
I have now finished all of the family invitations and will try to get all of mine done tomorrow so that I can put another line through the list.
I am really tired now so will head off to bed after catching up on a few diaries.
Waving to you all.

Hello everyone -
I can't quite believe it. Today I have made my last overpayments which will come out on Monday. The standard re-payments will come out on 8 April and 13 April. But today I consider myself to be debt free.
I've blooming done it!!!!!!!!!!! :j:j:j

Hey urg,
That is fanflippingtastic finally being debt free! It must be the most amazing feeling, I'm sure your mum would be proud of your achievement and you will find a fitting way to celebrate - just no running of your CC again!
Great haggling on the rings, I'd be too scared to haggle! xx0 -

Thanks Claire, Swinstie and Taxi
I need to watch myself at the moment - I've been spending quite a lot recently - mainly on wedding things but I really do need to keep this in check.
Today I got my boiler serviced and a new gas safety cert as I need one for the tenant.
I also went for a make-up consultation today - I went to a brand that I love and would have bought everything that they used on me but I i was very restrained. I even got the girl to show me how to do some things with a couple of products I already I have so that I don't have to buy things that I might not use again after the wedding. I only bought things that I knew I would use again. I met OH after the consultation and he was very impressed.
I am suffering from having lost the extra hour so may go to bed soon.
Waving to you all

You're bound to spend a fair bit at the momenta s weddings aren't cheap.
Well done on only buying what you'll use again.0 -
Don't you just hate when the Big Brand People try to sell you all their lovely products? I bought an eyeliner (from one of the ones that starts with a C) and it broke the first time I used it, humpf!0

I know! I have a think about buying make up but I don't always wear it. I've really got to get back to wearing it more often.
Today we got the menu sorted and most of the final invitations out. Tomorrow Dad wants some help with some shopping for the house, some forms that need completing and sending off and then we'll go and collect some food from the caterer for a test (and a free meal!).
Just need to find some more time to do things.

Right now - that just brings me out in fear!!!!! There is sooo much to do.
Today, I finally finished the forms dealing with mum's estate. What was so frustrating is that I had spent weeks completing the long form (which I was advised to complete) but was then told today I did not need to! I could have screamed!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh well the new form only took about 25 mins because I had all of the information!!!! They will go in the post tomorrow.
I also spent a bit of time trying to catch up on the housework. I have bleached the grout in the bathroom and it looks so much better. I have also run 2 sets of laundry thorugh the machine and had a bit of go at the ironing. The pile is still quite high.
I am really tired now. I'm going to surf for a bit and then do a few rows of knitting to unwind and to make sure that my future SIL's baby blanket is done in time.
Tomorrow is the first day of my week long break when I actually have nothing booked in except an evening with a friend if she can make it. I am going to do my best not to write too long a 'to do' list. I am realising how much I need to chill out for a bit.
