Thanks honey - it's been nice to talk about it. OH and I are so tense at the moment trying to get all done for the wedding.

Urg ..Hugs from me.I wish I knew the right things to say but I don't.
Do you think your gran may like to get involved in your wedding plans?..she may be just waiting for you to ask..just like your mum probably asked her when she was getting married.

Hope you can find somewhere nice for a break as the break will do you both good x

    Hi Taxi,

It's been really hard - Gran has been quite ill for some months and mum going has made it harder for her. She missed a few appointments around the time of mum's going (still find it hard to say the D word:o). I do ask her lots and call her regularly. Sadly, if she is able to get an 'emergency' appointment she may not be able to come to the wedding.

We did managed to find somewhere to go - going to the Canaries - it's still quite pricey because of the half-term break and the dates we are traveling (we can't get a package) but I did put my money saving skills to use and managed to get 12% off the hotel price and so was able to upgrade to a Suite! A bit decadent I know - but it is a treat!

Swinstie - Hope you are doing ok!
Wedding arrangements are plodding on - the wedding is seven weeks today and there is so much to do still!

Keep going, you are doing really well. Preparing a wedding is always emotional. Losing a parent is always emotional. Having both going on a the same time, well, you really do have to accept the enormity of it all, and take good care of yourself.

I am really glad you have booked a week away. Just be prepared to be exhausted in that week, and to let all the "stuff" of the last few weeks to catch up with you.

I'm not trying to be negative, but I know myself that sometimes it is when I have "stopped" for a mo, that the brick wall comes. Having said that, you do NEED to hit that wall from time to time, and it is better to do so now (or in 8 weeks time) than on your "real" honeymoon later in the year.

Hope that makes sense, without sounding too down!

Hi Urg..sorry to hear that gran is ill.
Am so glad that you've booked your week away as that is one thing less to worry about.
Am sure everything else will come together for you and that you will have a wonderful wedding x

    Hi Hypno and Taxi

Hypno - I am dreading the wall. I still have my moments and had quite a hard time last weekend. I have to accept them as they are.

Taxi - Gran isn't very unwell but she has been suffering. She has an appointment soon so hopefully we'll know more and she'll have the problem sorted out.

So, I have been taking packed lunches to work this week as well as snacks so I managed three NSDs in a row. That takes me to four of the eight I challenged myself to.

Right - we're off shopping for a suit for OH and lunch followed by a few other taks (the list is never ending!).

Hope all in diaryland are doing ok.

We had a lovely afternoon - lunch in one of my favourite restaurants.

OH went to a store that isn't part of a chain that would accomodate his 'arger size. The store was having a special offer - buy one suit and get another free. So we got two good quality suits for less than £200.

We then went to the Supermarket to stock up on a few essentials - I had a save £10 on a £50 spend voucher which was useful.

Tonight is going to carry on being chilled. We're watching Harry Potter on TV and will have dinner on our laps. I will carry on with some knitting to make me feel productive.

Hope you are having a lovely day too.
