I've not updated for a few days. It's a bit up and down. More up than down at the moment.

I am really looking forward to Friday when it is payday. I will be making my last payments and becoming debt free!!!!!! :T Sadly I don't think I will stay debt free for long as I will need to be paying for things for the wedding. I'm doing my best to keep the costs low and hope that I won't be in debt for too long.

I have also left my CC at home and will be transferring my spends to another bank account from next month. When it's gone it's gone! I think I may find myself in a bit of a tight situation as I need to pay off last month's spends on Friday as well as have spends for the next month.

The spending diary is back out and will be with me at all times. I have fallen out of the habit and have notices regular trips to the shops.

My April budget will also start with my monthly savings. I know I shouldn't really start saving until I pay off the debt but I have no savings and need to get on with this goal.

The wedding invitations arrived at the weekend and dad and I have been writing them together. it is really sad seeing mum there as the "late mrs". I well up every time.

My weight has crept up by a few pounds in the last few weeks and I have not been going to WW classes. I am trying to get back into control and follow points again. I have also started to walk during lunch times and fit in a bit of exercise every day.

I am so tired - there is always something to do except time to relax! Better do the scratchies and then go to sleep.

Hope all is well in diary land

    Hello everyone -

I can't quite believe it. Today I have made my last overpayments which will come out on Monday. The standard re-payments will come out on 8 April and 13 April. But today I consider myself to be debt free.

    I've blooming done it!!!!!!!!!!! :j:j:j

  • About a week ago (!) It hit me the other day that I have no ambitions in my job and no future post debt freeness (when I get there) and I have always wanted todrive round America so the plan is get out of debt/learn to drive, save up for at least six months to have enough money to live off for six months (numbers are vague till I do my sums) drive around the US, then live with my sis for a bit. then who knows?

really glad you are out of debt thoxxx

What a brlliant idea and goal to look forward to. I'll be getting back into debt for little while to pay for the wedding but it shouldn't take me too long to get back to being debt free as long as I train OH to debt free ways. Tomorrow we are going ring shopping. We didn't get to it last week.
Invitations have been going out and I hope to get them finished tomorrow. Better get to sleep as we need to up and out by half nine! Am!

    Thanks Hypno -

Been up for ages and am laying here surfing the net on my iPhone am so tired! I think I'll get up in a minute and get on with some ironing.

I'm taking some time off over Easter to try and have a bit of a rest but what with everything that's happenend but i'm nor sure hom rest I'll get as I am also going to use the time on some spring cleaning a la flylady style; household maintenance I.e. Guttering and roof need checking; wedding plans; getting fit - 1 hour of exercise per day; etc etc.

I'm not sure I'll be able to start my savings for a while as there other things that need sorting but I am determined to get it started although I may have to wait until June.

Right- get up, showered and dressed and then decide on A) planning week ahead or b) ironing. Either way - will definately need coffee this am!
