Hey urg, mind no late nights tonight! I've been going to bed for the last half hour, I am shutting down now!

Hope the ring hunting went well x

    Hi Swinstie and Taxi,

We haven't really found the right rings yet - well i have but it is stupidly expensive!

I've had a nice evening - a friend popped round tonight. It was nice to see her. My friends have been great through this.

I'll be off to be shortly - just need to do a touch of paperwork.

    Will be back soon.

    Hi Everyone,

Some good DFW news - my final student loan payments were taken out on the 15th. That has got rid of that debt!!!!! :j:j

I have two cards to pay off when I get paid and that will be me debt free! I have decided to keep the small sofa debt as that is £35.5 pm on 0% interest. I think I can afford that!

I've started to work on my 2010/11 budget. I am trying to think about how I am going to spend my money so that the budget is a bit looser for me and so that I can start to save. To be honest though, it is going to be hard to do that until after the wedding as my spare cash will go towards to paying for all the extras for the wedding. Budgeting has always been my weak spot and while the budget looks good and realistic I don't really follow it.

The other disciplines I really need to get back into are meal planning; spending diary and looking for ways in which to boost my income.

I've also realised that I keep spending on my CC! I must get that back under control. It's not a lot and I pay it off in full at the end of the month but it can affect my ability to pay off debt and has slowed my ability to pay off the debt quickly.

    Right - better get on.

Hi Urg..nice that your mate has been round and you had a good time.
Well done on being nearly debt free.
Would it help just to use your debit card to buy stuff as then you won't get a bill and can only spend what is in the bank?..it can also make you think about what you are spending.I have just started doing that this last month.

    Hi Taxi,

I think you are right about using a debit card. I think what I will do is to transfer some money to another account and use that card as my spends card. Once it's gone it's gone. This is all about my need to stick to a budget!

I also need to stop buying on line. My card is registered on my favourite site - Amaz0n - and I need to remove it!

I came home this evening with brilliant intentions of getting a few jobs done as the weekend will be busy but i haven't started on the list. I am shattered!! I think I will have to do some short bursts to get a few things done and then treat myself to a glass of wine.

    How are you Taxi?

    so...

1 load of washing is now drying on the airer
    Bathroom is now clean
Bedroom has been dusted and hoovered after *ahem* a very long time
    Washing up done

Glass of wine poured and TV is on. Will surf for a bit and potter on the wedding spreadsheet. We should be able to start sending out wedding invitations tomorrow.

    Cheers
