Should be able to, but I think 02 server is down at the moment.

Not possible if its locked to o2. There isn't and has never been an o2 code server.

T-mobile/orange/vodafone: possible by third party code, although not free code.
Three/o2/tesco/virgin: no code/server therefore can only be unlocked by the network themselfs, ie ring and pay them for the unlock code.

There is a remote code server for 02, if you know where to get it.

what about if i go to carphonewharehouse as ive heard they sell unlocked phones but dont know if its true or not. As the X3 is £79-95 and thats a very competitive price.

Is this the old 6600 or is it the new 6600s or Fold BB5 model. Check underneath the battery and you're find the model number
