Only your network provider can at the moment unlock it for you, as you have a BB5 SL3 phone. There is no direct method at the moment.

I've not got one but noticed that Sainsbury's were selling them for £14.95 (I think on Vodaphone)

Quite cheap for possibly a simple basic "any network" option

BB5 phone I’m afraid, as there are no remote codes, only your network provider/market stall, or pro unlocker can help here.

Yes the 1661 can be unlocked either through Vodafone or direct unlock. Very good price.
