When you're putting the code in in says #pw and then numbers, how do you put pw in because it just comes up as numbers or does it stand for something? :o
    Thanks

As stated by baldhead in post # 726

Yes hardware is needed, but it shouldn't cost £40 shop around.

  • Locked to O2.
    IMEI is 359748007908057
I didn't carefully read the procedure (sorry) and tried putting in a couple of incorrect codes, which naturally didn't work.
Then I did it correctly (I think), put in #pw+723137723331533+7# which gave an invalid code result, then entered #pw+453024754340724+1# and got "cannot undo restriction".
Did I just run out of attempts, or is there another problem?

    D'oh
Sorry... I looked it up; I ran out of attempts to get the code right.
  • Having made a hash of unlocking the other one, trying my 6610i.
    Locked to O2
    IMEI is 354345006581376
Tried the "1" and "7" codes generated at trycktill.com
    #pw+229015645732121+1#
    #pw+238865157600072+7#
...and neither worked (got "code error")...
worried I've misunderstood something and thought I'd best ask for help before going any further.

If you got code error it means that either your phone is unlocked already, or it's not locked to 02. Try some different networks in your phone to find out and can you make & receive calls on 02.
