On the phone to three retentions now, but I'm going to be using a Vodafone Ireland sim card a lot in whatever I upgrade to, so knowing would be a great help!

Hi lufc,
As far as I'm aware you can't till towards the end of contract ...A guy who works for me has been trying for a while now with no joy.
On saying that it's not my expertice so maybe there is but he's not found it yet

Saying that though, three were just offering me anything a new customer could get so chances are I'll just leave. Got an iPhone and a Sony C905 for the Irish sim anyway!

'3' will provide the unlock code for £14 something. If you're within the first 12 months of the contract they'll ask you to pay the remaining total for the first 12 months up front (i.e in your second month you pay the remaining 10 months, etc), but what you pay will be credited to your account.
Hope this makes sense!
It's in their T & Cs if you look for the price guide within billing and payments, and I called them the other day to confirm that this is the case.

Hi everyone, I have a couple of moble phones - both nokia and originally purchased with a vodafone contract. Both contracts have now expired. Currrently using the 6280 model on PAYT, but as I have a very poor signal in my area, I'd like to use the phone on the Orange network. Now here's the problem - I phoned Vodafone and gave them the IMEI number asking for the unlocking code. However, they said that they do not have the unlocking code - apperently according to them this phone cannot be unlocked. So I gave them the IMEI number for my previous phone - model 6610I. They said exactly the same thing - no unlocking code available. Could this be right - I thought all phones can be unlocked.

Does anyone have any ideas how I can unlock my phones.

BB5 phone I’m afraid, as there are no remote codes, only your network provider/market stall, or pro unlocker can help here.

Can anyone possibly help me with this enquiry? I have an old Nokia 7250i (IMEI= 352955008617531) mobile on the Tesco Mobile network? I tried a couple of the codes on here to try to unlock it but alas I had no success. I wondered if anyone on here knew of a code that was a sure fire winner? Thankyou very much, John/
