Insert a WRONG sim card, one that doesn’t work in the phone. When it says phone restricted, press
‘undo’. It will ask you for a restriction code and input the code into the box on the screen.

Hello,
Can anyone help me unlock an old-style Nokia 2600 (NOT the 2600 classic) that is currently locked to Virgin mobile.
My IMEI is 357620004032854
Several years ago now, I tried unlocking with the codes generated by free unlocking software from a couple of sites, but none of them worked! I used up 4 of my 5 lives and then called it quits. So I have only one try left.
Any help gratefully received.0 -

Oh, I of little faith!
Having failed four times already, and having resigned myself for the past 3 years to being locked into Virgin, I held out very little hope of success for this request. But I am happy to confess I was completely wrong.
Your code immediately produced a 'Phone restriction lifted' message, without my even having to reboot. I have now tried an Asda SIM and a Tesco SIM in the phone, and both work fine.
The only downside is that I still have to put up with a Virgin logo screen immediately after the Nokia clasped-hands screen at switch-on. But if I think of this as ironic (a sort of thumbing my nose at them), even that is acceptable!
I'm very happy and very, very grateful.
Thank you.
