Oh no Happy, don't row with your OH. You have made some new goals and now you just have to go for it.

It's hard when your looking at the numbers all the time and can only seem to see what you still owe. We need to focus on what we have cleared so far instead x

Hey Happy, welcome back to diary land - life is pretty pants at the moment, thanks for popping by my diary and your support x

We went out this afternoon and got some filler and gloss paint as the first part of tidying up the house - if we are going to be sitting at home twiddling thumbs due to the lack of work we might as well like what we are looking at. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:.

I try not to look at what is left to pay and just think about the fact we have a roof over our heads and food in the cupboard, its a long road but we cant change the past, only look to the future.
  • I know just sometimes it's hard to be humble :-/. I am contemplating removing the secured debt and classing it a the mortage so to speak not looking at it as a loan maybe it's mind games but that means I can just see 34k and then as the unsecured debt tipples down I can start looking at the secured debt again? I haven't slept i am feeling really annoyed and angry and just down right fed up

What's the secured loan for Happy, was it debt you added to the mortgage?

  • The secured loan is not on the mortaghe just against the house we got it in a pre KVM to pay debt but managed to re run debts back up ! Eeek it will remain a low apr until 2012 but the term
of it is 20 years as u can imagine 60 k payback no thank you !!!! I can't really save any of that to clear it off an we can only over pay by 1k a year unles we pay in full I know it's not really gone and I'm only fooling myself but it would make me feel better xx

Is the secured debt on the lowest rate of all your debts? If so there is no point overpaying on this until the unsecured is cleared.

If removing from your signature would make you feel better do it, but I think you will always know it's there and won't be able to ignore it x
