When someone starts a thread it would help if the date was under the title, so as you scroll down you can see when the origional post was posted.

    Hello,

I know a lot of people have asked previously about an app. I just wondered if the admins had considered the vBulletin Mobile Suite plug-in which lets you compile apps for both Apple and Android, although there is a purchase cost involved.

  • Cant search forums from my mobile- it lets you type the first letter then jumps to something else. Isnt it about time we had a mobile site

  • I have a suggestion - to allow you to jump to 'last read post' when signed in. I'm not a techie, but a brief google search of vBulletin suggests it is an option... it would be very useful for long threads that can span years, and you may want to keep up with for the latest info/tips without having to bookmark or try and remember where you left off.

I second that, use my phone a lot to browse the site and it drives me nuts. Would be great if you could sort that glitch even if you are a long way off a mobile site/ap

    LINK TO A SINGLE POST

If you right click on a post number (eg. the #78 in the post prior to this one) and "copy link address" you get this link:
    http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.php?p=56239605&postcount=78 ends with ?p=56239605&postcount=78
Clicking on this link only ever shows a single post.

I find the following link much more useful, as it allows you to scroll up or down the whole thread from the individual post you have selected:
    https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/comment/56239605#Comment_56239605 ends with ?p=56239605#post56239605

Is it possible to make the second link the default when you right click and "copy link address", and if so would you consider implementing it?

    I second that.

I think would rather that stays as it is.

It's convenient to have that link there that only shows a particular post in isolation. Abuse reports, linking to particular posts for people, bookmarking specific posts.

The 2nd link, while it can be handy, depends on the person's browser and attention focusing in and centring in correctly on the particular post. It is not always 100% obvious when clicking such a link which is that particular post you are meant to be looking at. The view single post does not have that problem.

OK. It is swings and roundabout. You gain and lose something in either alternative. But personally I would rather it stays as it is right now as a least when I copy a link I can be 100% sure anyone who clicks on it will end up reading the correct post.
