    Holstar,

Yes it's quite usual to have overhead cupboards over here. I couldn't have them in this kitchen as a) DH thought he'd make a hash of it & b) didn't have enough timber & we thought it would make it look odd if we mixed timbers. They are actually old floorboards ripped out of a old shop. :D My pantry is around the corner from the stove which is facing the formal dining room. It's a big built in. Half pantry, half linen.
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. ;)

JAMIEDODGER - lovely family kitchen. Really like the dresser.

otterspasm - Thats how a kitchen should look the hub of a family home.

moggins - you can see a lot happens in your kitchen.

Sweet Pea - what a good idea to have thinner cupboards down one side. Means you can still use the space Very clever.

LOL, is that a euphemism for "it's a mess" :D I once read that it's no good having gadgets that are hidden behind doors as that way they get forgotten and never used. As I don't have much worktop space I have loads of open shelves so that everything is within sight even if some of it is so high I have to shout for DH to get the slow cooker down :D

Ok Ruby when you look at your photo in your photobucket account, there are some boxes underneat. One says URL copy the contents of that box.

Next stsrt a post as normal If you are using the WYSIWYG thing you should see 2 lines of icons along the top of the reply box. One is a little yellow square with a mountain thingy, click on that.

A box opens with http:// or something, get rid of that. Then paste your Photobucket URL thing in and your piccy should appear. I think :o

It works but the picture is MASSIVE

Then just take the URL of the picture from the address bar and copy and paste it into a post. That way people get to visit the link and their browser will more likely correct the size.

    HTH :)

I did do that originally with my pictures Squeaky but I was just curious to see how others could actually include them in their posts.

This is fascinating, especially as i have a kitchen that looks like people had imagined! (what had they imagined???) hmmm...
The others of course all look like the domestic godesses(and gods) that y'all are;)

I think if my kitchen were a chef I'd think of it as Hugh Fearnley Wittingstall, nannas would have been Nigella lawson or Fanny craddock, and mum's kitchen, I could imagine Rosemary Conley in it:) i.e. not very cooky!LOL
