I'm not looking for an income from his matience if i did get money off him it would go in my childs bank account. I've managed 4 15months i was just looking for advice on whether he would have 2 c her if he paid that's all. I can't work as im in uni, run a house n look after a baby...working part-time is outta the question.
And the answer is no.;)0 -
Oh, and for the record, 'love', your comment about not getting pregnant to a loser was totally out of order!!
Why is it out of order? I don't mix in circles where alcoholics and jailbirds frequent so the chances of me sleeping with one and therefore having a baby with one are nil.
What's the problem? hit a nerve?0 -
Ok the Job centre can ask you to contact the CSA to get maintenance but as others have said they cannot force you to do this.
You are at an added advantage in the fact that the father is not named on the birth certificate. Therefore you do not know who the father is and therefore will not be able to contact him. It's a lie but one that has been used over many decades and although I do not personally agree with it, for many reasons, it highlights the fact that noone can force you to name a father.
Edit, all father's names should be made to be on birth certificates. The number of children in this country with no documented fatherage (not a word I think but hey ho) will lead to endless possibilities of half siblings falling in love and sleeping together. It has happened and will continue to happen.0 -
i do know who the father is....even though he doesn't believe it himself! he's only not on there because he couldn't be botehred to turn uop to the registars office0

Well if he doesn't believe it, if you go to the CSA he will have the chance to deny paternity and ask for a DNA test.
Look, we clearly all have our own views on this and we all have them for probably our own personal reasons.
Only YOU know what is good for your wee one but rest assured should you go to the CSA, it doesn't automatically give him a legal right to see her.0 -

I didn't mean you personally not knowing. I meant in the context of me showing how you cannot be forced to say to the Job centre who is, therefore having the CSA involved.0 -
Basically if you need the money make a claim. You might be lucky you might not be. If you have made an effort to keep your ex involved then i say good for you. If you have made a conscious effot to keep him out of your lives, then you need to have a serious thought about what your child may be missing out on, i.e. the other family, grandparents etc. Only you can do what you feel is right. but just think about it very carefully0

Can you imagine if an NRP came on here and said they wanted nothing to do with their child?
As for the rest of your little rant love, shocking as this may seem, I don't give a toss what you think about me!
hmmmm, you just dont 'get it' do you ~ bet you could start a row in an empty room :rolleyes:Loopy_Girl wrote: »Why is it out of order? I don't mix in circles where alcoholics and jailbirds frequent so the chances of me sleeping with one and therefore having a baby with one are nil.

not at all darling (;)) but who the hell are you to judge others?
the OP asked as simple question which you duely answered but with a little added 'here's my opinion and a bit of judgement' as a nice little side order!:heartpuls baby no3 due 16th November :heartpulsTEAM YELLOWDFD 16/6/10"Shut your gob! Or I'll come round your houses and stamp on all your toys" The ONE, the ONLY, the LEGENDARY Gene Hunt :heart2:0 -
I was asked by jpmummy 'if he was an alkie or jailbird would you want your offspring involved'
And I gave a truthful answer to that.
I really don't see what your point is, I really don't. I got asked a question and I answered the question.
Yes I also gave my opinion on why I didn't think that cutting him out of her daughter's life was the best idea as did a few others. It's a public forum, it's what happens.
Now lets draw a line under this matter as the OP seems happy with her answers (from me oddly enough - go figure eh?) and I can't be arsed debating with someone who.....anyway, as I say, line under it:D0
