But if i didnt get a confirmation email, i wouldnt keep trying to rebook the room, there has to be a point where you think, hang on something isnt right.

To get back into the site, re-add the rooms to your basket and then add card details 10 times, would have rung alarm bells, and i would have stopped and gone back to the site at a quieter time

LOL...so its all my fault now. Hilarious. I will retire from this thread and go and beat myself up for being so stupid.

You CANNOT book a TL room unless you register with them.
When you book a room and no confirmation arrives or you get cut off or whatever the reason, you LOG-IN to your account and go to my bookings or manage my bookings and all your stays are listed there.

That's not correct; in the sale a few months ago we booked on my mobile phone and no customer login is required and neither is your booking kept online for later access.

Have you actually tried using the site during the sale period? In my experience there isn't a quieter time until all the decent £9 rooms have gone.

from memory i would say ive booked the majority of my stays during the sale period, and must now have stayed at over 50 lodges, so yes, i do know how the system works

And to that end, as you will see from my previous posts on the subject, its a case of the early bird catches the worm, and to be in with a chance in the travelodge sale, you have to place your booking about 3am, when its quieter, and before the mad rush starts

with most companies you get an automatic email confirmation issued within seconds of a transaction going through, so its always best to check your emails in conjunction with making a booking. I do this when making any payments online, as there is always the possibility of timeout errors, because unless you know at what point they occured, then it could be your payment went through ok

An email will only confirm whether you have a booking or not - lack of one won't indicate that the money has been ringfenced or not.

Yes you can. I only ever log in when I'm booking at a quiet time - during the sale I don't bother. So you have to stay on the ball - some are in MyTL and some are emails! The mobile site asks for and gives only basic info, you don't log in.

Online, if you`re not logged in, and have added the rooms you require, you then have to log-in to pay for them.
You can`t buy them online without first logging-in to your account.

Have just got back from a few nights at Tower Bridge Travelodge booked during the previous £9 offer. Fantastic location and very friendly, helpful staff - could not fault it!
