I don't have a Travelodge account and book via the mobile site
I`m not talking about their mobile site and if you haven`t got an account you can`t log-in and see all your past and future bookings.
Also without an account you can`t log-in and save any rooms while you continue to browse, which are held until you log out again.0 -
Yes you can. I only ever log in when I'm booking at a quiet time - during the sale I don't bother. So you have to stay on the ball - some are in MyTL and some are emails! The mobile site asks for and gives only basic info, you don't log in.
Yes, you can place a booking without logging in beforehand, but as soon as you place the booking, they automatically sign you in anyway. even the mobile site creates a 'My Travelodge' account as soon as you book via it
for future reference, if you sign into your account and input your booking ref for any that you booked whilst not signed in or mobile, they will automatically be added to your 'My Travelodge' account, so you can view all of them in one place, rather than having to remember where you put the details for each booking

as soon as you book a room, you agree to the creation of a 'My Travelodge' account - even when using the mobile site

No, it doesn't require you to agree to an account. Hence why myself and other MSE's have said you can book a room, without an account, and just have a printed email conformation. Why there is such debate about this I have no idea.0 -

I've booked rooms via the mobile site and can assure you it doesn't require you to log in!
I do however have a Travelodge account which I've used to book via the main website but when I've booked via the mobile site my bookings don't actually show up anywhere in my account.
Hope that settles the argument!
“You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time, but you can never please all of the people all of the time.”0 -
The mobile site is very basic and definitely doesn't require you to even register.
Strange re the main site - I have an account but never log in when in a hurry. The only breaks I have in my TL account are those that I booked when logged in.
Maybe another instance of the arbitrary and unreliable behaviour of the site.0 -

Arbitrary and unreliable? If you admit you didn't log in when making those bookings, why would you expect the bookings to be there?! How's the site to know who you are you?0 -

the first time you book a room with Travelodge it automatically creates a 'My Travelodge' account for you. It is in the T&C that you agree to this

yes, because you havent logged in they cant associate a new booking with your account, but this is easy to do afterwards, as explained above
However, as stated above also, when you book a room with Travelodge they automatically create an account for you, so even when you book via the mobile site (which works under the same T&C as the main site), it will create an account. Whether you access it or not, you still have an account
