Really, you were lucky - I held for about 15-20 minutes then gave up.

I'm surprised about your codes though, we did nothing after they verbally assured us it would go back, and it did!

We never got the room though - booked somewhere else in the end - worked out cheaper in fact.

Cheaper than £9 a night? Please tell

lol, I never booked a nine pounder - it was originally a flexible rate - which makes the fact of ring fencing worse as it was a quiet period!

And we, rather DS plus mates, stayed at the Etap - £32 triple room.

Although I have been lucky with the Hoxton :)

Can anyone tell me if they've received a courtesy call from Travelodge asking if everything was ok with the room?
I booked to go to Bournemouth at the beginning of the year and at last minute couldn't go so got my money back by selling it on ebay and have just received this call. She said she hadn't seen me check-out, hence the call. As I'm at work and shouldn't really take calls, I said everything was fine. Now I'm worried as I have stayed with them loads and never received any sort of call from them.

    Thanks

I've stayed with them loads too and never had any kind of contact. I'd be anxious too!

After every stay at a TL I receive an email from them to "rate your stay".
I have never received a telephone call.

The big danger with the pratice of selling a room on, is the person buying the room could easily trash the room and leave you holding the baby,as it`s in your name and address.

There are still £9 rooms available and indeed Travelodge seem to have added some in the last few days.

I just booked some nights in Barnstaple in July and August for £9. They were kind of hidden, as the the days were shaded blue, which normally indicates full rate. There are quite a few days still available for £9 at Barnstaple, though most are just single days.
