By the way everytime a case is heard the claimant wins as they only go after the clamper who doesn't bother turning up, so a default judgement is made. The problem is levying against clampers is almost impossible as they criminally hide their assets.
Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?

Agreed, the scum will be out of business in October anyway. It is ESSENTIAL to sue the landowner.

I think no-one has succeeded with suing this 'firm' because the clamper and landowner are one and the same aren't they? Isn't he the ex-JP or summat (no doubt it says earlier in this long thread). And he seems to have contacts in the right places, he does have signs up, etc. He catches unsuspecting people whose tickets have inexplicably fallen down...

Hard to make a case stick when you can't prove what happens when no-one is looking, to cause those tickets to fall off dashboards. It may be worth someone hiding and watching but you would have to be very careful.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Didn't know he was the landowner as well, thankfully this scummy clamping is ending soon!

  • I know the owner is an ex magistrate and it sounds like he has his fingers in a few pies and seems to get away with a lot when it comes to the law. Like I said, we've just had a baby so we really aren't in a position to be lining somebody elses pockets with nearly £100. I definitely can't afford to start taking anyone to court on top of that so I want to rally as many people together and see what we can make happen. I hate bullies and this is all these people are. They actually drove my husband to the cash point to draw the money out and were quite threatening with him whilst they did it. i'm just so glad that some others came back to their cars whilst we were still there as I had broken down in tears and it was good to have other peoples support.

I've set my group up so if anyone would like the link, please pm me. I really want to get as many people together and then take them down.

Yes, we cannot cast aspersions here, but if you were to stake the place out, watch out for the bloke with the leafblowing machine, he might know something about what goes on.

You realise that a small claim is not really a huge amount of money, I would suggest you take further advice from https://www.pepipoo.com they must have run across this previously.

The owner Ted Evans has got this place set up just the right side of the law, I don't think anyone has ever succeeded in a claim against him.

However much we hate it if you clamp correctly its legal, and there is case law to back it up.

It's another issue why so many of the P&D tickets at this car park end up flying off the dash. I beleive another trick they use is someone giving you a ticket with time left on it! Then clamp you for using a transferred ticket. Of course the person who gives you it is Ted's side kick!

Luckily come October this little maggot will have lost this cash cow.

There are plenty of cases, as documented in the Sunday Times and on Youtube, where clampers have rocked vehicles from side to side in order to dislodge a valid permit and then clamp. It wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if this is what has happened here.
