    Continued.......

Gerry puts her foot in it once again……
Was in the checkout queue, there was a wee man looking at special offers on bedding, he asked me if it was sheets in the packet I told him it was pillowcases the sheets were in the packets on the bottom shelf He asked me what colour he should get he had white in his hand, I said get the blue ones the white will get dirty easily. (he looked as though he needed a good wash) I told him he would need to buy 2 packets one sheets and the other pillowcases. He asked how much it would cost all in when I told him he put the packets down and walked away. Judging by his dirty clothes, I was thinking he might have been homeless. and he probably couldn’t afford them.:confused:

I felt really sorry for him, thinking the poor wee soul couldn’t afford to buy his sheets and it being The season of good will, I headed back in to shop to give him a couple of pound towards his sheets, I met him coming out and went to give him the money making a joke here’s money for your sheets your present from Mrs Santa Claus. :xmassmile:santa2:

The guy pulled out a bundle of notes from his pocket _pale_ _pale_ look he said I’ve got money here (it was at least £500), he had just finished working on a building site so that’s why he was so dirty and scruffy looking....

I had just insinuating that the guy looked like a neglected down and out.  I was so embarrassed...:o:o I couldn’t apologise enough, what a horrible way to insult someone.

He ended up laughing :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: and said it was probably the nicest thing anyone had ever done for him. I was absolutely affronted I couldn’t get back to my car quick enough.:embarasse :(

    Lesson learnt

Girls - you all know who you are

I have just come across this non ppi thread & felt like I was intruding by just reading some of the postings - I know much of it is back slapping & mutual support, but it really does warm the cockles of my heart & renews my faith in human nature, you all deserve the very best that this festive season has to offer.
I might suggest snuggling up with my special oh & watching a chic flick - I,m feeling that emotional, lol , I,m even getting some of the abbreviations.
Feel as though I am intruding - leave you lot too it.

    Hi "cheeky chops"

Of course I don’t mind you laughing

I’ve been having a wee chuckle myself too in between my spells of feeling completely affronted and mortified for being so stupid and making such a fool of myself... :naughty::naughty::naughty:

My dad (aka auld rogue) thinks its absolutely hilarious, he told the priest (not to pray for my sins either, they had a good belly laugh at my expense):rotfl::rotfl:
he then phoned his family even relatives in Ireland boasting about his wee daughters observation skills.:confused::confused:

Do you think after todays antics, my delightful father might qualify to join your “Team Scallywag” :D:D

    Gerry x x x;) ;)

Just realised that I did not post up my update on dad, thought I did but obviously I have not......:o.

There is a review meeting on the hospital unit this coming Tuesday, my sister is going along with mum, I was going to go but have my youngest, as hubby as day course to go on.

This review is about the what to expect in the care package, what I do know is that with dad having 3 carer's a day before who are female, there is going to be an extra one who will be a guy, they will as soon as dad settles in again (lets hope he does);) sort out a day centre will then be arranged in good time.

Not sure what day for definate that dad will be home, as nothing is absolutely for definate, this could also depend on the weather as well for travelling, but they are hoping it will be by Christmas.

Not long now.......a week next Friday.......:j:j
