There is a review meeting on the hospital unit this coming Tuesday, my sister is going along with mum, I was going to go but have my youngest, as hubby as day course to go on.

This review is about the what to expect in the care package, what I do know is that with dad having 3 carer's a day before who are female, there is going to be an extra one who will be a guy, they will as soon as dad settles in again (lets hope he does);) sort out a day centre will then be arranged in good time.

Not sure what day for definate that dad will be home, as nothing is absolutely for definate, this could also depend on the weather as well for travelling, but they are hoping it will be by Christmas.

It sounds as though he’ll be well cared for huni. How do you feel about it, is there any aspect of the care that’s worrying you?

lol.........was going to bed until my son came down the stairs again lol.....:D.

I know what am I like?:eek:

I do worry about the wandering, we live a few miles from mum and dad, he used to have the habit of getting up out of bed thinking he was going to work (where he used to work down the mines), mum could not stop him going out at early hours......., although, all dad done was walk up the road and back again, mum is also disabled, so is unable to follow him.

They have told mum if this happens, she will have to either press the emergency lifeline, or call the police.......:eek:.
Even though they are providing more help in the day, the night is a worry, unless he settles, I do hope so.

Hope you got some sleep last night Di, and really hoping your dad gets to come home for Christmas.:A
Donotpassgo, your poor daughter, bless her, hope the antibiotics work and she can enjoy Christmas. I have had glandular fever and it is miserable and painfull so sending lots of hugs and soothing drinks (through a straw)but no kisses:D.xx
