Before we went to pick up mum to go to the hospital, my brother in law Andy text hubby's phone, this was the first we heard of it all, "they found dad in a carpark a few miles away"...., he had wandered again.....Andy said he went in, could see dad was not in or sat in the chair by his bed, and asked the nurse where he was, she was stumped and then said "oh dear, he must have gone for walkies".....the next min there was a call from security to say they found him, bear in mind this was about 2 miles away from the hospital.

I am calling his key worker Peter tomorrow, and the one from SS who is dealing with him, to find out if there is anything they can do to push things quicker for the other hospital, it's so scary........

Apart from that, he looked fine, he has a good colour and enjoyed his treats, such as a mixed fruit.;)

An update on dad, I will be seeing him tomorrow, today my neice, sister in law went with mum, he thought he was coming home, he was confused again unfortunately, but made it difficult for mum to leave, it's so heartbreaking, hope this transfer will happen very soon, so they can assess for what help he requires for when he does come home, if they think they can do this or it may be a nursing home.

It is basically out of our hands now, but if anyone knows how Social services deals with these issues these days, I will be happy to hear.

Over the years I expect they have improved with their services.
Hi Di hows your dad today sorry hun things are difficult for you and your family it is a hard decision to make about care for him now, but I think the decision is up to you as far a the social services go and a home for him. It will be very difficult for your mum to cope but also hard for your dad to adjust to not being with your mum but I am sure the SS will help you with this. Hope you are looking after yourself hun Luv Di xxxx sorry di just read your post.

Good grief Di, how awful for you all, how can they not notice?
Sooner this is sorted out the better. It is a stressful enough time without anything being added to it. Hugs and kisses sweetie.xx

    Thanks Pinknico.:AXX

Yes it is a worry, it's a shame they could not bring extra staff in from the agency who are crying out to work, I know they have their hands full, with all the patients, but as dad has actually obsconded a year or so ago from the hospital as well, we are all very worried sick about this happening again. XXXX

If you go onto my profile pics on FB you will also see a pic of mum and dad together at on a day out, he was not too bad then bless him, and that was only over a year ago as well XXX

Yes your right, I think this will make them move quicker, and of course we are all taking in turns to be with him, but that part of the day they don't allow visitors, my in law just got there earlier and it's a good job as well.
Will get on to these tomorrow Di, feeling anxious now again, in case it happens again tomorrow.
Mum still there with him, my brother Jeff and his other half should be there now as well, they were due to get there not so long after we left, my mum will go for a cuppa for a break while they are there.
    Thanks hunni XXXX
