    Hey there guys and gals,

I reckon FTSE 100 will end the year in the positive territory, and will continue to climb like we did in the boom, with the couple of jitters and rise and the odd tumble, like everyday life.

I am just a teenager, so don't expect huge results from my analysis, but every view counts I guess.

Anyway, that's my opinion, sorry for the long post! And I hope I helped some people. :D:D:D

I like helpful, thinking teenagers. Good on you conorthomas

just for the record re TA :it is best to be completely objective ie stand back and be detached and best to keep the words `I think` out of possible investing/trading decisions. Just follow your set criteria

Very optimistic close on the american market though Im not sure why, this has to mean a positive ftse for the morning tomorrow now but I'm sticking to a short term ( 5 day) negative bias as we are more or less under 900 still

Good article on how to judge if this market is overvalued or not, apparently its neither

This site below has weighted the news headlines according to which stocks moved most which is useful for gauging sentiment I think, its the american market again but it'll effect us

Hmmn, bit more bounce than I expected :) but it's all good, where too now I wonder?
Goldman reports before the bell, and is widely expected to post a big positive, upgraded by banking analyst Meredith Whitney today.
Intel after the bell, for a bit of tech flavour.
Hope for the best.....Plan for the worst!

I didnt think GS would stay above 120 but to say people should be buying 150 seems reckless. Im sure they are doing well now for reasons mentioned by buffet last nov but that I dont fully understand, but if their yield is below 1% I dont get why this is worth buying, their earnings are really going to rise that much in future are they

They are relevant to Barclays I suppose so expect barc to break 300 again and rbs above 41p I guess

I'd rather buy google or similar blindly or intel even are better value at their current price still with 3bn cashflow and strong foreign earnings but conversely I guess they'll go down if MW is right about gs rising even more

I guess the recommendation was at 135p not 150 and we just hear about it now

She has a $186 price target on it, and yes rec would have went to clients first before the general public. Don't forget Goldman have "the software" as their lawyer stated in court last week, "In the hands of someone who knew how to use it, could allow them to manipulate markets to an unfair advantage." Guess Meredith just had to upgrade them after that ;)

I caught the back end of Intel ( I think) 78c per share against 62c average estimate and 71c top estimate, so positive for the market.
