So after my excursion down to the valley I have spent £16.39 on the Post Office and Boots and £5.10 on groceries which I don't include in my weekly spend budget for this week.
Total spent on this weeks challenge so far: £18.64 out of my £25 budget.
Off to do the rest of my chores.
Before I go I have just done a tally up of the groceries/alcohol for this month and it comes to £347.45, a lot I know but considering I fed 36 kids as well at DS's birthday party, I don't think it's too bad, we would have probably only spent £250 - £300 otherwise, which I know can be reduced anyway.0 -

We do need to put some money on the C.C as DD needs a bed as she is currently in a cot but is getting too big now to be in one. The C.C is 0% interest until June next year, so although I don’t want to do it, it is at present essential
I am sure that you have sorted this by now, but for future reference, I got a lovely single bed from www.freecycle.org

Hiya,
Yep all sorted now, she loves her new bed and will happily go to sleep in it...just a shame she likes to wake up early though.0 -
Have you tried a black out blind - I got one recently for my son and it made a big difference...

Hi SH,
She already has very dark curtains in her room but she's very much like her dad, the slightest noise early in the morning and she's awake.
I am still planning to do the car boot sale...thanks for reminding me, I'll ring them now.
Also...I have done a review on Dooyoo, one of my suggestions finally got accepted so a few more pennies earned there.0 -

Now that's real thinking...and I thought medised might be more useful :rotfl::rotfl:0 -
Yep that is the problem with reading a diary from start to finish you suggest things that have already been done . But on the other hand I forget things I want to say if I don't put it down there and then, so not really away round it.
Glad she likes her bed. I was going to suggest a black out blind myself. But if sound is the issue then that is more tricky...

Morning, yet another hot day today, at least they reckon it’s going to rain overnight so it might cool it down a bit.
Checked online banking this morning and no nasty surprises in there today, so that’s a good thing.
I’ve got a kid’s birthday party to go to on Sunday, so that should be good and another one the week after.
Going to the market this morning to get some fruit and veg, the veg tends to last us a good couple of weeks so not a total waste and I can get some cheap free range eggs there too…I say cheap, they are £1.30 a box where as I normally pay £1.47 a box…I also need to get a block of cheese from Iceland. I must remember to add this to my total for the shopping for the month.
I am looking after my mates little boy for a few hours whilst she goes to collect her partner from the station, poor girls been itching to see him and no doubt will grinning from ear to ear when she picks him up.
Not a NSD today but a LSD so not too bad I guess.
I have gone through all the stuff I am aiming to flog at the car boot on Saturday and providing everything sells and I get what I want for it all, I could potentially get £160 for it. This would go a long way with us, some of it I would put a side for Christmas and the rest would see us through the next few weeks.
My mate has said that there is another one in another village next month and providing she makes some money with this one this week, she is going to do it and wanted to know if I’m up for a second one…of course! I’d do one a month if it meant that I could get rid of some more tat and get some more pennies in the process.
I have also been thinking that once this money pot is full, I am not going to get another one until DH and I are properly on our feet or at least a bit more vertical than where we are at present with the finances. The money that is in the pot could now be earning interest instead of being sat there…one to think about me thinks!
Right off to get motivated and dress the monsters that are my children.
Have a good day everyone and keep cool.0 -
Just a quick update before I log off.
I spent £10.40 on groceries, this included veg, cheese and eggs and I spent £3 on a birthday present for Sunday and 58p on two cards.
I also got two £2 coins which got transferred over to my money pot.
Total spent today: £13.98
Tomorrow I need to pick up a cheap bottle of wine and another birthday card as it's may mates birthday tomorrow and I forgot!
Catch you tomorrow.0
