Check out the manufacturers details I posted earleir. It says it can work as a standalone photocopier, and I'm guessing as it only has ink in it, it does inkjet style copies?0

DONT BUY THIS ! I bought a similar model last year at a similar bargain price. Check out how much replacement cartridges cost, and more significantly, how very very few of the disuont cartridge sellers offer Brother compatibles.
This is a false economoy in the long run !0 -

You have obviously not read the thread fully have you? You can get compatibles for it eaily and less than 6 quid delivered for a full set.
I recently set one of these up for someone who paid full price from comet and its a good printer. I have one coming on monday too.

It is also down to the relevant £49.99 price in store too
I would get one but I have the 115C model (It looks similar but dosen't have the fancy tray on the top).
Quite a smart little printer too, no paper sticking out etc. Even the USB lead plug is hidden away inside. Mine can do a photocopy without the PC, you just stick in the document to be scanned and press either 'Mono Start' or 'Colour Start'0 -

Simon.
I have read the whole thread ! There are VERY few people offering compatibles compared with other manufacs.
I am at a loss to understand how http://www.inkemporium.co.uk/acatalog/Online_Catalogue_MFC_410CN_110.html can offer 4 cartridges for £5.92 inc VAt and delivery. If delivery is (say) £1 and VAT is 75p, that leaves £4.15 for the 4 cartridges which really sounds very odd. Admittedly I have not tried them, but I would be amazed if they hold anything. Added to which the picture both on the website and in the packaging shown, bears no relation to the correct cartirdges which are shown immediately below.
Someone please tell me that I am wrong and these really are great cartridges ...0 -

A few places I have looked have them. I was getting carts for a canon i865 until it died and they were only 70p each and never had any problems at all. You are assuming that ink is expensive because printer companies make them high on purpose. Bulk ink is cheap so compats should be cheap.
http://www.cartridge-factory.co.uk/cartridge.asp these sell them too.
And just because everywhere sell Epson carts dont make epson printers a good buy. They have been the most unreliable printers I have ever owned. Infact Canon have been the best by miles but my current Canon does not take compats yet so the Brother will bridge the gap.

You need to check out the cartridges thread, there are many, many companies on the net that charge this sort of price, and less, for loads of different cartridges.0 -
Its not including free delivery though from what I can see its £5.95 the cheapest delivery.
Does anyone know if this is economical to run on ink?Thanx

THere is a tick box for free delivery righ above the paid one for £5.95. And just read a few posts before this and you will find details of cartridge costs etc.0

Do you think the photo quality would be good on this?Thanx
