Fuller details of the printer are on the Maplin's website -
http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?ModuleNo=47037&doy=7m3&C=SEO&U=Template
This says it uses 4 cartridges. Maplin are charging £14.99 for the black and £7.99 each for the 3 colours.
Compatibles can be found on ebay @ £7.99 for 4 plus £2.99 postage - see item
6856053013 for example. So, all 4 cheaper than the price of 1 original black cartridge.0 -

If the printer was the network model I would have been interested, but not this occasion....plus I've recently invested in continuous flow ink cartridges for my Epson photo 900Welcome, rogerramjet.

Thanks for the info! Do we know if it comes with 'starter' ink cartridges?0
-
Yes it does come with inks but NO USB cable...0
-
Alot of printers don't come with usb cables now. If you want a cheap one, try going to those pound shop as they should do the job, instead of forking for those expensive ones. Unless your going to order other things from ebuyer its not worth it in my opinion.0

Whatever you do - DO NOT add the £11.99 USB cable to your order, as this is a complete rip-off!
If you don't already have a suitable USB cable to connect a printer to your PC then you can pick up a relatively cheap USB cable from Ebuyer.com for 70p (incl. VAT) although with P&P it will end up costing £3.28 (if you go for Super Saver delivery):
