The bandage was past its sterile date but I figure that as it is wrapped then it only becomes unsterile when it is removed from the wrapper.

Took me half a day to realise that it wasn't still in wrapper while on your leg.

Aah... but I bet he is making Brian, Mama cat and unloving canine look positively problem free by comparison?

Everything for a purpose - gives you something to take your focus away from the other turge!!!! :D

I'm sure he will be licked into touch quickly by the rest of the menagerie :) good luck and hope the vet bills are within your reach. This is one of my considerations for getting a new hound (looking like it may be two now!) but no doubt I will act first and think later as I always do when homeless greyhounds are concerned! :rotfl:

I wouldn't say that. I had to cash up last night, so we didn't leave work until about 9, and then we went for a walk up the lane (mama cat, Brian, tart and me - new-and-surprising-addition was in his naughty box), the tart spied a strange cat up the lane and decided racing after it when it took flight would be a great release from having to stay in the office all day (sometimes in the armchair, sometimes on the window sill, sometimes barking at customers - ah, such a hard life) - into one field, over the stream, through another field, under the hedge, into the wood, out on to the lane and I finally caught up with them by spying the white tip of a tail waving under another hedge, where they were trying to outstare each other. The arrival of me and the moggies galvanised terrorised cat into action and he darted into a dense and person-impenetrable pine forest and the tart turned deaf, so mama, Brian and I wandered up and down the lane for half an hour trying to look like this is what we were choosing to do should any passers-by see us. Moggies were most bemused, but kept themselves amused pretending to chase things. When the tart decided to join us (minus cat) she was totally unrepentant.

When we got in I released KWNAH (thanks, Chev) for about 5 seconds, until I realised feeding time was going to be too stressful - kitten trying to nick grown-up cats' food, mama cat trying to nick kitten's food, Brian trying to nick tart's food, tart trying to nick everyone's food, me not getting near any food - so I did a bit of cat shuffling and shouting at dog and eventually sat down with a plate of pasta and a glass of white while second-time-released-KWNAH and Brian worked out which was faster and more canny and dodging blows, tart recuperated after her busy day, and mama climbed into a cupboard. I was supposed to be supervising cats, but I fell asleep on the sofa (I hate falling asleep on the sofa) and when I woke up mutt was asleep on the sofa too, kitten was asleep on my lap (awww) and Brian had put himself in the naughty box (don't know why, but maybe he does have a conscience after all).

We were busy for the Mass rush, but not so much now, although pesky customers do keep coming in.

Friday and Saturday were busy - loads of stock to put away. I tried to treat it as a good workout, spoiled only by finding a packet of Minstrels open and so obviously couldn't put them out for sale and didn't want to waste them ... Sadly they've improved the packets for Jelly Tots - there was always an open one in the box as a treat after stocking up. Shop all tidy now and so while it is quiet I will do some bookkeeping. Once I catch up on diaries, of course.

Wordsmith..what did I say about the Cat Woman? Ring her and say that you have a kitty cat that needs rehoming.

You are very stern, Horace.:D Perhaps you could come round and use the same tone of voice to make me tidy up, do my accounts and start exercising.

Actually cat lady did come in on Friday, and she said she'd put KSWNN (as he was then) onto the web site. And one of our pensioners said that she would take him. And one of our single mums said she would. And then I looked at him asleep and serene and getting over being poorly on the fluffy blanket on my desk and ... well, I just couldn't.
Aha, I did wonder but was completely taken in by your stance of "I'm not keeping him" (whistles)

Well, I was intending to let him go, push him out, leave him high and dry. My mind was made up. But he does have the sweetest little face ...
