I thought Brian was a dog, too. Must get my eyes checked.
I can't see your photos! That's not my eyesight, I mean the computer isn't giving me anything... not even a box to click. I want a ginger kitten, but it would have to be in exchange for two family members with rather unpleasant allergies. Any takers?Miggy

He looks like a right character in the making!! my ex fiance briefly adopted a beautiful little kitten, called her Florence. It was strange, apart from a tiny face, she didn't really look kitten like if that makes sense? Just like a tiny weeny version of a fully grown cat. She was lovely (and I am not normally a cat person)

.....I see he's giving advice after reading your diary!
Actually, he's yawning!
He's now sitting on a fluffy blanket on my desk to the side of the computer. Asleep at last. The number of times this morning I have had to correct my typing because he insists on helping ... I am actually rather jealous of him, because the pictures of him got far more thanks than my posts do! Am I going to be lynched when I give him away. (Did you read those last five words, SA?)
Although I seem to collect cats, I am much more of a dog person. I know I b1tch about the mutt sometimes, but she's my constant (although not very loyal) companion and I love her to bits.
KSWNN is sneezing only occasionally now, so I risked letting him out of captivity for a bit of exercise yesterday evening. Mama cat seemed very surprised and took a moment to realise that she hadn't given birth to him and then a split second to realise that meant she was off the hook and so took herself off to bed. Brian was most intrigued and they spent about an hour and a half chasing each other around the sitting room. Brian occasionally got a bit enthusiastic so I did a bit of air-lifting to safety, but on the whole they had a great time and the kitten was eager to go back for more. I wouldn't trust them together without supervision yet, though. The hound just did her sighing and rolling of eyes thing and took to the sofa for safety.
I let the adult cat and the delinquent teenager cat out at 6 o'clock this morning, and released the kitten from the bathroom for a wander round. After about twenty minutes he found his way under the duvet, where he practised his huntin'-shootin'-fishin' skills on various bits of my anatomy. I think he is going to be very good.
The mutt seems fine. But I am still feeding her rice and chicken for safety (the chicken cost nearly more than my entire week's food budget ... and I had to text a friend to find out how to cook it). She thinks the chicken is great, but is not so keen on the rice. She finally had a poo this morning (she may have had one before now but occasionally she slinks off into the field and I can't see what she's up to) and on careful inspection it seemed to be normal, although rather yellow - I don't know what that means, but at least there was no blood in it. Although this is very interesting to me it occurs to me that it is a bit TMI for my diary. Sorry.
Yesterday I was at a client's for most of the day. I would normally come into the office afterwards but I had to go straight home to check on KSWNN. Which was actually rather good for me as I had a reasonable amount of evening at home for once, and that gave me time for a good old think about the way I wanted work to progress. I am now all fired up about my "projects" (I must think of a better description as this makes me sound like an eight-year-old). There is quite a lot to these and what I am finding difficult now is where to start - I have to pick one bit and concentrate on that to the exclusion of the rest, otherwise I will flit all over the place.
Although I always seem to be busy, I really need to get in some more paid work. I don't really want to take on any more admin work where I have to be at a client's premises, so I have to decide what my aim is and go all out to achieve that, again concentrating on one area. What I can't decide on is whether to do something that will take a bit of building up (and therefore not have an income for a while) but will be more long term, or whether to try to bring in work that pays straight away. Both have pros and cons. I anticipate a list ...
Pensions day today. It's just started raining again, so I foresee lots of conversations starting with "Back to the rain. It's never far away." I think lovely boss man wants the evening off, so I will become a shop girl at 4 o'clock or so. In the meantime and between weather conversations I have some admin work for training client, some bookkeeping for the shop, some website updating for another client, a bit of kitten entertaining, and possibly a bit of trying to drum up business for myself. A varied day, but that really is how I like 'em."Green pastures are before me,
Which yet I have not seen;"
I'd love to be a good example - instead, I am a horrible warning.0 -
Ring the Cat Lady and ask her to collect the kitten...do it today!!
Am feeling a tad sorry for myself today, I went to the docs yesterday to get my stitches removed, he was a bit surprised because I should have booked with the nurse. Well said, stitches were removed and then it was discovered that the wound hadn't healed at all so he slapped a dressing on it and got me in the nurse pretty quick. I had to have dressing removed and then the wound was washed out:eek:_pale_
I had to have steristrips stuck on and then a plaster was wacked on followed by a bandage - so in the space of a week I have gone from having a medium sized dressing to a whopping big bandage:eek:
My leg hurt like billyo last night - I did a fair bit of driving and went to a free seminar to learn about getting more customers. I got home at 9.50pm and expected to watch Grey's Anatomy on Living to discover something else was on instead and that last week's must have been the end of the series. I went to be relatively early and didnt set the alarm either - leg feels a little better today but I shall try not to walk too much.
Today, I have upgraded my anti-virus, responded to all yesterday's emails (I didnt log on at all yesterday), tinkered with my website and will be typing the DDBC minutes at long last.0 -
