Poor poorly mutt, poor harassed you, I hope you have both had a rest this evening.

Wish I could have a kitten. There, I've said it out loud so if one turns up I will know it's my own doing! (shame yours is rather too many air miles away, quite besides the landlord complications here!)

glad to hear that you house sale is still ticking along. would you say that houses are starting to move again? And what about price, picking up?

I don't really know, chev. I was in the very lucky position of my tenants asking me if I'd sell, so I didn't have to test the market. I have kept an eye on prices in my area (south west), though, and it looks to me that they are rising slightly, but I don't know what the official position on it is.

Morning. Tart seems to be well, but she has been starved since yesterday, so I am not sure what her reaction to food is going to be. She is lively enough, though.

Kitten is sneezing just occasionally now. Cat lady seems to have conveniently forgotten about him.

I didn't get home till after nine last night - I did that extra little bit of work that came in, just to get it out of the way. I am anticipating short-fuse client to phone with questions on the wages today (they are closing up part of the business, so it was a final pay cheque for everyone). I hate talking to him on the phone - he wants instant answers that rely on my memory (never good at the best of times, but non existent when put under pressure) or thought (he doesn't like to be kept waiting). Today is benefits and child benefit day in the PO. In between times I have some odd shop admin and training client admin to do. Then, if there's time, I am giving some serious thought to my "projects" - the ones that are always in my mind and are going to make me a bundle, but I never have time to do anything about.

If I had sold when I first moved, five years ago, I could reasonably have expected to have got £30,000 more for the house than I am getting now. Hindsight is such a wonderful thing ...
