Come on Carmine, unlike you to miss something so glaringly obvious! :p

I was assuming he was talking in the past tense and not specifically about how he found this thread, but if he wasn't then I apologise unreservedly :D. Still can't for the life of me get my head around the concept of him searching for E4B and 'happening' upon this *specific* thread when he allegedly hasn't been here before. Can you? :p

These 'energy consultants' come and they go on here all the time. At least Energyman was 'shamed' into staying a whole month (and also suffered the fate of having his sig removed). Funnily enough, HIS very first post was about UW also. Seems to be a trend emerging, lol. We'll see how long Southwest Solutions stays, shall we?

If that IS his trading name, he seems to also sell Scalextrics models. A bit of an 'all-rounder' if you ask me. Vroom vroom...:D

Ps Asking again (I think this may be the 4th time), who do you use to phone 0845/0870 numbers, given that you don't use your landline for calls, preferring your mobile?

I dont use 0845/0870 numbers at least from my own phone. Have you not heard of 'saynoto0870.com'? Alternatively I use my work phone, free you see.

So now you are saying the way to beat my deal is to defraud your employer? Thanks for that advice. :p

Have you not heard of 'saynoto0870' then? Im not aware that you are privy to my terms of employment, so jumping to an accusation of fraud is large leap even for you.

So Ive answered your question, can you do me a favour and tell me who the cheapest energy supplier in you postcode area using MSE recommended 'energyhelpline'?

Sorry, I should have asked: are you specifically allowed to make 0845/0870 personal calls from your employer's phone and at their expense? You did sort of 'walked into' that one, I feel. :D

I could run my own company for all you know. You lost me with 'walk into'.

Can you please let me know who the cheapest energy providor is in your postcode then?

Hi Cardew, prospero has a members section ('prospero store' link) accessible for UW members, which contains a bunch of discount offers. From the prospero site...

    were you unaware of this?

    UW distributor

    Unaware of the detail! Wow!

Obviously this makes all the difference and thus nobody can match Carmine's deal.

So folks, pay £hundreds extra for UW gas and electricity, get an uncompetitive telecoms package and you can get the Prospero discounts.

Do they give UW distributors the chance to hold Tupperware/Ann Summers/Pippa-dee parties? Similar selling techniques(so I have heard!!)

But you don't, you previously stated on the E.on thread that you work for an employer. If you haven't got express permission to make personal calls on your employer's phone and at their expense, you are defrauding them. Do you have permission? All this for the sake of trying to prove a point. Crazy.

PS The cheapest enrgy providEr in my post code for me is UW. For you it would be E.on and their Fix online, I suppose. The reason for this is you are happy to accept the price shown on energyhelpline whilst I am not and like to explore avenues of getting the best deal (whilst, of course, staying within the law.)

So are you actually telling me that 'energyhelpline' which are recommended by this very site are showing UW as the cheapest gas and electricity providor in your postcode area, just so we dont get confused. Im not talking about you special 'package' which you are very fond of, Im talking about gas and electric only, thanks.

And it is used cynically, as in "we will always be cheaper than british gas for your gas" (no mention of "of course I'm talking about their standard tariff, not the others you see listed on the comparisons as being so much cheaper than uw, and you will have to pay by dd, and you will also have to pay us more by way of our monthly membership fee), etc etc!
did you forget to read the small print:-
“Big 6” means the six major energy companies who currently supply over 98% of UK households, comprising: British Gas, E.ON, npower, EDF (London Electricity, Seeboard and SWEB), Scottish Power and Scottish & Southern Energy.
Guarantees and price comparisons are based on the standard domestic usage profiles for low, medium and high users on a like-for-like basis and exclude Club membership fee, surcharge for gas customers using an Independent Gas Transporter, Dual-Fuel discounts and online tariffs. Only applies to direct debit customers. During periods when retail prices are changing, we typically announce our new prices after most of the “Big 6” have set their new prices in order to ensure our new prices are competitive and in line with our “Triple Value” guarantee. Therefore when energy prices are falling, there may be a short period before our new prices take effect when our prices may be higher than those available from certain other suppliers. The reverse will however generally be true during periods when energy prices are rising.
