Gotta ask - how did you 'happen' upon this thread out of all the zillions of threads on the billions of sites on the internet? What were you searching for that brought you here?

HAVE YOU SEEN QUENTIN'S CASHBACK CARD??0 -
Name one postcode in the UK using MSE recommended 'energyhelpline' that shows UW are the cheapest gas and electricity providor? I claim nothing, Im merely stating facts that I can back up with proof.
Soooooo.....get me a better deal. What can be so difficult about this?
Ps Asking again (I think this may be the 4th time), who do you use to phone 0845/0870 numbers, given that you don't use your landline for calls, preferring your mobile?Call me Carmine....

You will note that I have included the small print so that it is complete.

Our unique "Triple Value" guarantee will give you peace of mind.......
By constantly quoting the guarantee you seem to be attempting to give it credibility.
But we have seen in the clip from the uw director it is just a worthless "sales tool" designed to make "getting energy customers much easier".:
http://www.networkerplus.co.uk/videos/triple-value-guarantee-wayne-coupland.html
And it is used cynically, as in "we will always be cheaper than british gas for your gas" (no mention of "of course I'm talking about their standard tariff, not the others you see listed on the comparisons as being so much cheaper than uw, and you will have to pay by dd, and you will also have to pay us more by way of our monthly membership fee), etc etc!
When uw reps use this "sales tool", we have seen they don't point out the small print!
By continually trotting out the "TVG" as something respectable and genuine, you are just insulting us.0 -

But then you need the Prospero magazine don't you? So that essential reading makes UW difficult to match! Unless you look at it on line of course.0 -
Hi all you UW reps
No I've not logged out just attending to business.
I came across you sorry bunch of spammers whilst I was looking at some of the problems people were having with E4b and their administrator. I am an energy broker in the commercial market and offer a complete management solution to my clients. I enjoy giving companies like BCW a good spanking when they make a nuisance of themselves, not S&M before some bright spark makes a quip.
good luck pushing UW0 -
There is nothing difficult at all; it is very very easy. Much better, much cheaper!!
But then you need the Prospero magazine don't you? So that essential reading makes UW difficult to match! Unless you look at it on line of course.
Hi Cardew, prospero has a members section ('prospero store' link) accessible for UW members, which contains a bunch of discount offers. From the prospero site...PROSPEROstore - www.prosperostore.com - is a unique online department store with virtual floors, departments, suppliers and a warehouse - just like a traditional store. Currently, the store carries approaching 250 discounted offers from a wide range of suppliers. These include Bupa, the AA, Blubeckers, Brittany Ferries, DFDS, Feather & Black, Charles Tyrwhitt, Intercontinental Hotels, Champney’s, The Fish Society, Davy’s Wine Merchants, Orient-Express, Novelli Academy,Planet Hollywood, Sunsail Holidays, Tio Pepe Midweek Dining Club, IPC Media, The White Company and Wyevale Garden Centres. ADT, P&O Cruises and Cunard have joined this month. All are household names, offering members fantastic savings on a wide range of products and services.
were you unaware of this?

Dear Quentin (again)
Your insistence on making disingenuous comments that you imply have been made by the uw director in the link that you provide is becoming increasingly offensive. I hope that the readers of your comments DO listen to the clip to understand that you have no basis for your comments. No mention is made in the clip regarding this being being a "worthless" sales tool. What is said is that, by having the TVG, this gives potential customers peace of mind.
As regards the "no mention of standard tariffs", you are right, because it doesn't mention them specifically. However, it does mention the basis of the calculation:Guarantees and price comparisons are based on the standard domestic usage profiles for low, medium and high users on a like-for-like basis and exclude Club membership fee, surcharge for gas customers using an Independent Gas Transporter, Dual-Fuel discounts and online tariffs. Only applies to direct debit customers.
Your continued maligning of the TVG is churlish and discourteous and should be seen as insulting to the vast majority of users on the forum. Whether you have a personal issue with the TVG does not give you the right to be calumnious about it or the independent distributors of UW as you see fit.
Best regards
Mike
