Talking of bluster, I'm assuming you've now realised it's Option 1 but can't bring yourself to make a further 'confession'? Or maybe you get family staff discount? Who knows? You're certainly not saying...
Way to go with the personal insult as a reaction to things not going your way, I thought I was dealing with an adult. Oh well.
As per usual your assumption is incorrect.
I told you earlier it is OPTION 2 - have you understood that? I mean really understood that?
Option 1 has 10gb, Option 2 has 20gb
Option 1 doesn't have the full comprehensive Security package.
Option 1 has 250 wi fi minutes not 350 minutes.
Strangely enough my Bill states Option 2 as well
Read about it here: http://www.broadband-finder.co.uk/broadband-directory/bt-broadband/
Now Carmine or any UW rep.
1. How much extra will you pay UW for your gas and electricity than the cheapest supplier?
2. What is the UW price for the BT package I detailed above.
Don't bluster, just straight answers in ££££££s.
You can look up the answer for gas and electricity in any comparison website; however I can understand you might not want to!
UW reps can surely price this Broadband wireless package? However I can understand you might not want to!
From what I could see UW charge extra for:
1. Wireless(£5 a month?)
2. Call minder
3. Caller display
4 Additional telephone line
I couldn't see anything for:
1.200 free texts a month, Sent from phone or PC
2. free McAfee comprehensive security package, - firewall, anti-virus etc
3. 5gb digital vault
4. 350 wi fi minutes from hot spots.
So I want you to price that lot up and put it in writing and there will be no further response from me about my 'superb' BT package until we all agree on UW prices for gas and electricity and equivalent phone/Broadband package.
What have you to be scared about - just put it in writing!0 -
...but remarkably similar to your 'challenge' that was based on your particular circumstances.
Did we not decide that you could take electricity from the cheapest providor, use saynoto0870 and have a cheaper deal?
I think we decided it was the best 'suggestion' so far, SJ (actually, the ONLY one that didn't involve making personal calls whilst at work). The cheapest leccy deal (online tariff) on my usage is approx £7/mth less than UW's offering...but that stops me getting daytime 01,02 and 03 calls for free as well as 0845/0870. Which equates to just 23p per day in calls. Including local/national calls that aren't 0845/0870. Even if I can get a geographic number for the relevant 0845/0870 number there's still going to be a cost in that scenario...
PS The UW deal I have shown includes no special offers at all. Someone on my exact usage in my area would get exactly the same deal. No?Call me Carmine....

Wooahh...calm down, mate. Option 2 broadband IN ISOLATION costs £20.54 per month. Which, on the 'confessional' figure you now quote of £31.73 per month, leaves you £11.19 per month to get line rental and anytime calls. Taking into account line rental itself is £11.25, surely even yourself would have to accept summat is not quite right here.Call me Carmine....

I have given you complete detail of my phone/broadband charges. You are also aware that my gas and electricity is many hundreds of pounds cheaper than it would be with UW.
Now come along:

2. What is the UW price for the BT package I detailed above.

Mike_by_the_Sea wrote: »Hi Cardew,
For completeness, the very interesting quote in full is:
Utility Warehouse's gas and electricity prices aren't the cheapest around – for direct debit dual fuel, Utility Warehouse is around £100 a year more expensive than the cheapest big six supplier in each region.
However, its customers don't seem to mind and gave it full marks for value for money.
Well it is firmly established that UW are much much more expensive than their competitors. and the £100 a year cheaper is an underestimate in many cases.
So what makes it better "value for money"?
Is it better quality gas and electricity? More calories and amps perhaps?
Surveys like this where the vested interests of 26,000 UW distributors and their families can come into play are just a nonsense; discredited.0 -

Well, you are the one not answering specific questions raised by Cardew. Stop wriggling and answer. Its only fair, you ask questions which we/I do our best to answer.
Would admitting he truth bar you from membership to the fraternity?0 -

How can I do a comparison on a seemingly fictitious figure, jimexbox? Perhaps you can answer for Cardew being as he can't seem to answer my simple question. How can £20.54 + £11.25 + £4.95 come to £31.73?
PS Welcome back.Call me Carmine....
