Cardew, if Carmine were to let you miss out the Prospero magazine, what have got to beat his challenge then?
I am an Independent Distributor with Utility Warehouse
Cheaper gas, cheaper electricity, a much better telecoms/broadband package.
Carmine's challenge is a farce, and has no credibility.
Now read the previous posts and stop wasting everyone's time please.0 -

I believe that sentence is the sort of bluster being referred to earlier in the thread. I presume you say it because you can not find him a better deal.

Sooo...my challenge is 'a farce'I'm assuming Cardew's definition of 'a farce' is a challenge he cannot rise to and beat?
I'm not sure that would be Ray Cooney's definition. He also views other people's views who don't match his own as 'stupid' and 'ranting'. Lovely. He's the King of Bluster (TM), I'm afraid.
Call me Carmine....

Will you at least admit that different people have different wants?
Absolutely.
Most people - particularly on a Money saving website - want cheap gas and electricity, and most certainly UW do not satisfy that need.
All UW Distributors want people to believe that UW provide good value as they make money from these people.
Some people on this forum want to correct UW reps misleading claims!0 -

Which misleading claims? I claim that Utility Warehouse has been proven to be best value for me in my circumstances and therefore it may suit others too.The mind of the bigot is like the pupil of the eye; the more light you pour upon it, the more it will contract.

Maybe I should make it easier still for Cardew and 'pretend' my usage is the exact same as the industry-accepted 'average', i.e. 20500 gas and 3300 leccy? So far, I have had to exclude the potential £433 cashback card discount , the prospero discount deals magazine (why he got it into his head that this was a definite 'deal sealer' is beyond my comprehension
) and now 'amend' my usage to the 'average' figures that most of the Big 6 energy suppliers base their 'savings claims' on in order to make it easier. I'm genuinely beginning to feel a little sorry for him and I think there may be a way out for him here (although, of course, it would be no good for me as that isn't my usage
). I like to do at least one good deed per day for someone who is struggling.

I see we now have Cardew attempting to extend this spat to totally unrelated threads on the G&E forum. Pathetic behaviour from a bully who has been 'found out'. I've asked him to come up with a better deal (Heck, I've even allowed him his seemingly 'unique' BT deal  in addition to me not including any discount from the cashback card, allowing him to use 'average' consumption data etc etc, lol) and stll he struggles.Call me Carmine....

This from someone who keeps telling us about his keen sense of humour - "extreme future provocation" a "bully" on an internet forum
Have you forgotten that you have me on ignore?;) - so don't need to be bullied or provoked - you simply can't resist peeking though!0 -
I am an existing UW gas and electric customer (not a distributor) and have been happy with the service even though it was my wife that signed us up through a friend. I am thinking of changing career to becoming an energy saving consultant so I thought I had better start with my own bills first!
By doing some calculations I realise I shouldnt be on Economy 7 as I am only doing 15% electric at night so by switching to General tariff I could save £110 pa. but aside from that I stuck my annual usage figures into energyhelpline.com and sure enough they say they could save me money. However when I click on the links to try and verify the stated possible savings they dont add up. Apart from the fact that the tariffs are ruddy confusing (the first 1143 kWh per quarter at one rate, thereafter another, 5% discount for monthly dd) the initial rates are way higher.
E.g. my gas is 3.6 p /kWh and my day elec is 13.7p/kWh and my night elec is 3.5 p/kWh.
So has any one else found this? Am I wrong to verify the savings using the tarrifs that pop up when I click on "show me the details"? Should I be getting the figures from elsewhere? Ideally I would like to get away from UW as I dont like paying £5 a month even though a Southern Electric guy who came to the door says he cant beat the price. I dont get prospero as I am a not a consumer monkey who would spend anything therefore save anything (to be fair I never heard of it until I came on this forum).
Any companies that anyone can reccomend? Eon came out top as being able to save me money but when I looked the reviews I almost shat myself. I do not want to switch to a company that doesn't know how to bill and interact with customers.
I am in Kent if that makes any difference. I know I am probably a !!!!!! for asking for solid advice/opinions in teh middlel of a flame war but hey ho
