I thought I could get by without having to post daily, with lists etc etc but NO I can't  For some reason if I don't post regularly I go off and waste money like I have it and never stick to anything I plan on doing....so you're stuck with me guys :rotfl:

Need to get back on track after an expensive weekend and few days this week. Need to get back to sensible Karen as it seems I easily slip back to what I was

For today it's getting on top of the flat, a weekend away and nice weather means that I have done nothing....so bad! Anyhow, will pop back later after I have reassessed the damage done to finances..:o

    Hi Karen,

We all lose the plot a bit but at least you know you have and can get back on track! My debt has rocketed this month (cos paid holiday) but it will be great seeing it come back down again, just wish would come down faster, ha!

P.S. You still need to enjoy life a bit too

    Afternoon,

Thanks Swinstie - you're right we do still have to have a life.

mrscmr - sounds like a couple of hectic but nice weekends ahead for you.

Well mini plan for the rest of the day....to get me back on track.....

    1. Pack away clothes on airer.
    2. Tidy/sort flat to a reasonable level.
    3. Check online banking and work out a budget for remainder of month to pay day and stick to it.
    4. Get some money back from OH for food shopping done at lunch time.
    5. Start planning for holiday to Brittany.

I'm not sure if I have mentioned my pending holiday or not.....my Dad gave us £300 towards a holiday this year so we have decided to go via ferry to Brittany camping. We have all the gear as keen walker/climber/campers....so we thought rather than going somewhere in this country we'd pop over on ferry. We're only 30mins from Portsmouth so easy. I'm very excited and the ferry didn't even cost as much as £300 so we have some extra spending money too :D Less than 4 weeks to go.....must get exercising

I am glad you have a holiday to look forward to. We all slip off the band wagon just in different ways for me it tends to be food... today it was some stuff for the garden (£29) but I can't find it in myself to regret it. It will hopefully give colour in my garden for longer - my garden looks gorgeous at the moment!
