How do you mean break up?

Is it possible to get a screen shot of it and post it here?

Also, as I have the same card........do you have the option to view the temp of the card? This is done by right clicking desktop, properties, settings, advanced, geforce 6600gt, temp settings on left.

Mine runs at 43C idle. Do you also have a option in here for overclocking, if you do look at it and what are the core and memory speeds set at?

    defaults are 500Mhz Core - 1Ghz Memory

That's what I thought. The max psu I could possibly get would be a 300w anyway.

Is there a reason why the maximum PSU you can get a 300W?

You almost certainly need more than this. If it isn't causing the problem with the Video Card then it would almost certainly make the system less than stable in other areas.

Have a look at this page and work out what your power load is. It provides a simple calculation of what you need:

    http://www.jscustompcs.com/power_supply

Consider getting a decent PSU of that Wattage. The reason I say decent is that manufacturers of cheap PSU's not only use poorer quality components, but they also sometimes measure power in a slightly different way. This coupled with the fact that the 12v power rails are more easily overloaded on cheaper PSU's mean it's often false economy. PSU's can cause problems that are hard to diagnose, as the symptoms often point to other components.
