Pippa - Unfortunately it was all a bit much for Grandad and he spent most of the day hidding in the garden or his workshop. He's not a great lover of youngsters running around and all of us there reminded him of Nan too much as well I think. But we all enjoyed ourselves and as we are all spread out over the countryside it was nice to have a get together and meet up again.

Buy your bananas in bunches of 5 on Sunday. Then arrange them in order of ripeness and write a day of the week on each banana in felt pen, Monday on the ripest, Friday on the greenest to save time making those decisions on a hectic weekday morning

    Hello everybody,

DH showed me a You Tube clip of Susan Boyle whose in your Britian's got Talent. It was so wonderful. We both had tears in our eyes.

    Hi everyone

Aussie, yes, Susan Boyle is flipping fantastic! I have watched the clip about 20 times. She's amazing - Susan Boyle clip here - the moment an ordinary person's life changes forever, it's spine tingling!

We had a lovely sunny Easter here in NI - I got complacent and put the washing machine on yesterday so now it's raining and the washing is draped around the house:rolleyes::rolleyes:

I'm all out of supplies so need to scrape the bottom of my purse and get to the shops.

    Bye for now

    Morning OS friends! hi.gif

    Happy birthday Master Pink!
Haribo - You didn't need to apologise to us, you were just responding.
Beth - Still sending a little prayer for your friend
    bargainbird - thank you hon
Sunnyday - Ohh I bet you buy SOMETHING.. I have never been to a garden centre without coming out with something...lol
nesssie1702 - I cannot think of anything worse than a school reunion. Seeing all those people who made life so miserable for me *shudders*. I am glad you had a good time though!
Sunnygirl - Hope things go ok for your Dad today
nic1 - Hi honey! Just like Pink said, I also press 'select all' and then 'control' and 'c' so I have my messages copied before I hit send, just in case.
    Squiggles, Moggins, Sybil - *waves*
Halight - Where are you? Getting worried now.
Aussie - Am so glad 'Britains got Talent' is back. I adored Susan Boyle - she made me cry too.
The Greek Dad and son HERE made me laugh like a drain, I defy anyone not to laugh, and I loved Flavia the tassle twirler HERE striking a blow for the curvaceous women!

Martin has been de-bunnied I see!

Still haven't heard from Tristan.. I guess if the worst had happened I would know. But that is cold comfort right now.

Being in Devon, we had our digital switch over last week and my freeview box 'lost' all my BBC channels. Have done my 'new install' but no luck. Am going to have to trawl the internet for some help. I have asked on the new board here already.

We had a gorgeous spanish omelette for dinner last night with all the leftovers from the ham hock and sunday roast. Half left to have tonight. It's almost nicer cold I think.

Spent some Amazon vouchers last night which was fun - my OH wanted a new kitchen timer as the one we have waits til you aren't looking and then throws itself off the surface every time it rings and you have to put it back together again, so now a magnetic digital one is winging its way to us. And it was only £6.

Warm gentle grouphug.giffor all. Do something nice for yourself today.

    Diva.x

P.S. Still collecting vouchers for Wallace and Gromit stuff if anyone resorts to buying a loaf this week!

Hi everyone, hope you all had a good Easter.

I've just been to Tesco,DS1 had to go and sign on and its nearby so he dropped me off and waited while I did a quick scoot round-DH and I decided we have to lose a stone or so each so went for some healthy stuff. It was only a small branch and they didnt seem to have too many YS bargains apart from fish and some veg, which we'll have tonight.Just need to put it all away now,I've given the fridge a good clean and sort in readiness, then I'll have some lunch (cottage cheese prob).DSs will have to finish off the lemon drizzle cake

Also had a quick whizz round the house but its still very clean and tidy from the viewer on Sunday.Had to laugh,DHs aunty and cousin wanted to call yest aft so we said 'come on over'-must be one of the few times we didnt rush round clearing up quick, his cousin commented on how tidy it was :D.I am getting better due to following my version of flylady procedures which I printed out and laminated, and refer to everyday(well most days..)

I have some washing, but will leave it till tomorrow and hope its nicer out,but could do some ironing, then I think I'll have an hour on my family tree later.

Bought some baby rocket plants yesterday so I planted those in a tub ,also some sage and French parsley. My herb garden has a fairly good range now.

Sunnygirl-hope your dad and mum are ok.
    Have a good day peeps.x

    Hellooooo everyone!:hello::hello::hello::hello:

Been yonks since i've posted, lovely to see the old familiar faces are still here though!:D

I've been off the OS bandwagon of late, but just reading your posts is inspiring me to get going again! I've tried to be good and use up all the stuff in the freezer and cupboard and not buy anymore, just like BargainRzl!! I got so fed up with ridiculous amounts of stuff I dont use! I've been avoiding baking cakes to try and loose abit of weight this year!:rotfl::o

I have now become a partner in an allotment with neighbours - being a novice grower I take orders (mainly diggin) from my neighbour who seems to take charge and is into planting by the "moon cycles", leaf days, etc:rolleyes: - still it's all learning isn't it!

Kids are off still, good job I took them to Legoland/Chessington last week, weather is not looking good this week. Went to the London Aquarium and London Eye yesterday cos the Aquarium has been revamped. Looks bette than it did, they now have one of those tank tunnels to walk thru. We queued for 20mins to get in - but it's only short!!:rotfl: They have also got the glass floor you can walk over the shark tank.
All these trips were curtesy of our Merlin Passes from the tesco deals thank goodness! certainly had our money's worth!

Just been trying to work out Twitter - think i've got the hang of it now, but goodness knows how I think I will have the time to do OS/facebook and twitter!:p:rotfl:

    Happy Birthday Master Pink xx

PenPenguin - How are the chooks doing?? Darcy, Mouse?
churchmouse - show abit more interest in the mans handywork will ya!:rotfl:he slaved over them!
stefjb - saw yr pics on facebook, lovely!

Hi all, just having lunch at work so thought I would pop back on here to post (again). Just had a quick read of a few posts - not had time to start from beginning but will do so when I get home from work. Thanks Pink and Diva I think that I will have to start doing that, as I have lost my posts a few times in the past.

I agree with the Susan Boyle comments, I taped Britains Got Talent but haven't watched it yet but have seen it on You Tube - what a fab voice and what a come-up-ance(sp?) for those who judged her just on her looks! Go girl!!!:D

Hope Master Pink has a wonderful birthday (where do you lot get the cake pictures from????)

On OS front, I am going to be making some sort of mince based meal tonight as I have a big pack to use, doubling (or trebling) up depends on how much carrot etc I can put in too (still have to hid veg from my DD2 although she is 22 now:rotfl:) with jacket potatoes. Do not need any bread making today and trying to cut down on cakes so will just make some Hob Nobs for Hubbies packed lunch when I get chance this afternoon. Other than that house fairly tidy after long weekend. Might just wash all cushion covers as still fairly good weather here and could get them line dried.

Hope everyone is having a good day. ((((((Hugs)))))) to all who need or want them.

    xxx

Ok found the cakes - I hadn't enlarged the little window when you click on more and didn't realise there were some more on the far side!!!!

    I've been Money Tipped!
I shall investigate Abel & Cole....

Evil cat's gentleman caller has left a calling card in one of the tubs I had planned to plant with lettuce. Just for laughs - has anyone any ideas about keeping non possessing cats out of the garden? Not that one can persuade a feline to do anything. My current favourite idea is a water pistol but that was not entirely effective against evil cat when she was younger (now she cannot be bothered).

Also, evil cat to the vets on Sunday as tummy more poorly than normal.

Well, I've reached the foothills of the ironing.

Also any ideas on re-heating baked potatoes? Just microwave for ten minutes?

    Hugs to all.
