Burlesque Babe's Re-building life but back in debt diary

I doubt it to be honest.....teaching in the adult sector could only be full time if I get a job as a contracted tutor at an FE college or HE (ie the university). I don't have a high enough qualification for FE - I'm 2 years away from that - and then I'd have to get a job. It's becoming similar at the university.
I can't teach in a school (although I've decided I don't want to do that) unless I have a PGCE. The route would be another 18 months of this qualification and then a PGCE conversion which would be another year and then get a job as a newly qualified teacher on 20k. I could work in a school now as an 'instructor' ie unqualified but the starting salary is 15k.
Adult learning teaching is always sporadic because of the nature of it fitting around the lives of learners.
I'm pooped today though. Got out at 9.15, home at 9.30, shower, wash hair collapse with dinner just before 10 after starting work yesterday morning at 8.30.
The good news is that somehow this week I've managed to lose 5 pounds"Stay Wonky":D

cheers beanie. It's also a total of 4.5 inches off my waist (the place it starts to go first!) so far. I'd like to have another half stone off by Christmas - I know that is a small amount in a lot of weeks but I'd rather try it this way than just shut myself in a diet 'box' and then break free and go mad for days on end - and then not be able to get back in the box again.
Money hasn't arrived in my current account yet. I am really going to need to be strong to use it to clear the debt
Generally though (other than work being a bit of a mare) life is pretty positive at the moment.
Looking forward to my holiday - go 2 weeks today. It is always very weird spending so much time with OH - all day and all night!! I try to escape though every couple of days to t'internet in some way so I can keep up to date with all you guys.

Who said full-time? A number of part-time teaching jobs would keep you out of admin.Burlesque_Babe wrote: »I don't have a high enough qualification for FE - I'm 2 years away from that - and then I'd have to get a job. It's becoming similar at the university.

Got 3 bargain buttnernut squash today. Someone near work had a load on the wall, 50p each grown in their garden. I bought 3 so have lots of lovely squash to use up now :T"Stay Wonky":D

5.5k arrived in my bank today. I'll wait until the other 3k arrives and then gather my thoughts.
I was close this morning to quitting my morning job. My manager (morning job) has tried to undermine me with my afternoon manager and spectacularly failed as I have been told and so could say and I quote "That is 100% made up. I have never spoken to x about this subject so she can't say I am worried because apart from the fact I am not, I have never discussed it with her'. My afternoon manager said that she is obviously stirring for whatever sad reason she feels the need to.
She doesn't know what has happened and I am furious with her and refuse to be treated like that. However, quitting isn't an option as I need the money."Stay Wonky":D
