Morning Jo, I hope you managed to get a little sleep
Well, after another dilema (sp?) with more rumours about Landlords business going under, which yet again, it isn't!! We've decided that instead of putting the extra cash from my last payment in Sept into the Honeymoon fund, we're going to add it to the money going into the moving budget! I am soooo fed up of this happening every other month it is getting beyond a joke! It is doing nothing good for my health and I am starting to fear going home as I never know what I'm going home to! We went to a little village I've been looking at since before we moved, and it was just like being at home in Cornwall(Except my Mum doesn't live around the corner hehe) Loads of green fields, horses and cows in those fields, smallish village, very quiet and peaceful and only about 10 minutes from where we currently live
Although the house that is on rightmove has been there since I first started looking so not sure if it's gone or something wrong with the house that no-one has rented it, so need to raise about £1000 ASAP! so that we can get out of this house and somewhere I can finally relax knowing that we aren't going to hear anymore rumours!
Got £8.10 on scratch at the moment, so another few weeks and I can withdraw another £10
Ummmm cant think of much else at the moment:idea: Jan 09. Debt @ LBM - £11936.55 Debt at worst - £12600.55 Current Debt (01/03/2012) £8,859.51 29.7% Paid offHoneymoon Fund £410.40/£6000 House Deposit £1.50:A Proud to be dealing with my debts. DFW Nerd 1177 :A0 -
SOA looking good, think groceries prob realistic if kids round when DH is back, mobile phones quite  - are you on contract? I am on PAYG after a baaaaaaaad contract experience a few years ago and top up £10 a month with Tesco and once that runs out...
Good contents is sorted - reminds me I need to do mine too still:o
Hope you get sorted soon - I couldn't comment as I wouldn't know what to say (worried about saying wrong thing etc) but I hope things become clearer and you feel better soon xDealing with my debts!Currently overpaying Virgin cc -balance Jan 2010 @ 1985.65Now @ 703.63

Hi Jo
The mobile bill for last month was actually more than £70!! Was a shock for me to, if we stick to our calling plans its more like £50 but my Money Monkey (What Orange call the people who handle Best Plans) said that on average I send around 300 texts a month so I dropped my text amount from Unlimited to 300, then sent 427 texts last month!!!! So that was £20 extra on top of bill :rotfl: I'm making sure I don't go over this month by ringing 150 every other day to see how many I have left and ring DH more instead of texting him! lol He's my magic number and vice versa so phone calls between us are free, quite handy when he spends so much time away from home. He'll be off again this Sat till Wed and work are being awkward about telling him what his days off are this week so he can let the XW know when he can have the boys, at this rate he wont see them as she may have something planned for them on the days that DH could of had them if his work would get their a*ses into gear!!!
Hope your ok x:idea: Jan 09. Debt @ LBM - £11936.55 Debt at worst - £12600.55 Current Debt (01/03/2012) £8,859.51 29.7% Paid offHoneymoon Fund £410.40/£6000 House Deposit £1.50:A Proud to be dealing with my debts. DFW Nerd 1177 :A0 -
Right, update on Dr's appointment (sorry, I know it's a day late) The Dr thinks it could be 1 of 2 things:
1. Extremely slim chance I could be PG
2. Or it could be the anti sickness tablets I've been taking for 4yrs and suddenly now they've decided to give me the 'rare' side effect!!
So, I have bloods tomorrow, DH coming with me as last time I had blood I collapsed and I don't fancy driving if it happens again! I have pre-warned DH and was wishing I hadn't not long after, he keeps looking at my tummy as if something is about to jump out of it and when we were playing he stopped and said 'You shouldn't be bending like that' !!!!! It is an extremely slim chance as DH had a vasectomy but comments like that are showing that he is doing exactly what I told him NOT to do, I don't want him getting his hopes up as it will more than likely be negative.
I did have a chat with the Dr about how I could get PG with DH and he said that it would have to be helped, so I'm assuming IVF. He did say that he could refer me to the Gynie's and Fertility people at the hospital but we'd get over this hurdle first. I don't think I am, I don't think the Dr think's I am but he needs to rule it out as definite so we'll see what happens tomorrow
On a financial front we're still in the blackI've got in contact with the Estate Agents about the house we like the look of. On Rightmove and their own website it was up as £375 pcm, it is actually £340 but in a bad state. Needs new kitchen and bathroom and lick of paint. The owner is supposed to be putting money into the house to get it done but they haven't heard from him since April!!! They are trying to find out what's happening and if they can get the keys off the contractor he hired to do the work to see if we can have a look around. I've done another spreadsheet seperate to my normal one just to see how things would work out with the rent/deposit etc etc and although we would be in the red at first as it wouldn't be rent a week and it would have to be in advance we will actually be saving money
We pay £112 a week at the moment which makes roughly £450, so we are saving £110 a month!!!! If we were to get this place and we spend the same amounts as we do now on things like water, tax, etc etc then I could pay both CC's off by the end of NEXT YEAR!!!!!! :j So we're still looking for other places just in case but that village would be perfect!! It was lovely.
Nowt else to report today, feeling really off today, headache and just a generally 'unwell' feeling so hoping it's just brain working overtime worrying about tomorrow, not worried about the test, worried about me collapsing again as it leaves me completely drained and I have to come to work
Never mind, happy thoughts will get me through the dayx

I sympathise - I'm the same when having blood taken, not a nice prospect!
House sounds good re: lower rent and nice place. Beware though about landlord not being in touch with agents - my experience tells me having a landlord that's around and about when you need them is priceless - it put us off one house when the tenants who were moving out said the landlord was a nice chap but took ages to sort out any work that needed doing if he even got round to it at all. Tread carefully - of course it might be fine and he might just be v. busy!
Hope you are feeling reasonably okay, it sounds like a lot to be thinking about both physically and emotionally so here you go, have some of these weirdy hugs! :grouphug:Dealing with my debts!Currently overpaying Virgin cc -balance Jan 2010 @ 1985.65Now @ 703.63

Update on Dr
Had PG test, negative, knew it, thankfully I'm feeling ok about it as I knew it would be so didn't get my hopes up, DH on the other hand............... silly muppet, blames himself because he got the snip, my response is I married him willingly knowing I may not have children, but it can be possible with a little help
DH away till Wed so weekend and house to myself with no-one doing my head in
Hello to Lors if your lurking:hello:
I've taken the comments on board about the missing landlord, makes sense reallyHad a phone call from them yesterday just to let me know they were still trying to contact him  So if I ever get to view the property I will be asking a loooong list of questions, first is if something goes wrong can the Estate Agents fix it or does it have to come from the Landlord, Mum came up with it and I was going to ask similar
A few houses for sale in the same village but unsure of how difficult it would be for first time buyer with no deposit
might discuss that with one of them as well
It's not so much that he's busy thats the problem, I think it's more to do with the fact he lives in France and doesn't seem too bothered about his property. The lady at the EA actually told me that they had told him that either he updated the kitchen and bathroom or they would take the property off the books!!! Obviously he agreed but what's happened since then nobody knows. First months rent would be free too so all we'd need to find is £340 deposit and £250 EA fee. Sorted it in the spreadsheet that if we moved in beginning of Oct we'd be in Overdraft for a week I think but that would be it
Obviously if we moved later would be better moneywise as well
Fingers crossed that something good happens
Hope you've enjoyed your holiday SH
Hope you and family are ok Jo
And welcome again to Lors, hope the spreadsheets aren't confusing you too much
xxx
ETA Hit £10 yesterday and todays scratches took me over so have withdrawn £10 againYay

Good morning everyone, turning out to be a nice one too for the moment, sunshine (not helping the painful eyes) and blue skies. Started yesterday with a little headache which developed into full blown migraine by 4pm, not nice trying to drive home then having to cook, eart, dishes and wash out cat tray, even better we had a cracker of a thunderstorm!!! Would of been great if didn't already have the mother of all migraines, trying to talk to DH on the phone was a case of every sentence telling him to talk quietly as just moving my head caused pain, still got headache now but not as severe and will be taking my strong tablets to kick it today
Have also stopped taking the anti sickness tablets the Dr gave me last week as I think they are the cause of the headaches!
Anyways, yesterdays list- [STRIKE]Post driving licence [/STRIKE]*Done

- Get petrol on way home *Didn't do as wanted to get home asap, might leave it till end of the week when I get my next lot of petrol money*
- [STRIKE]Endure another lovely BH at work
Even the sun is shining, if I'd had the day off it would o been raining![/STRIKE] *Endured but not very well :rotfl:*
- [STRIKE]Seal up old haribo tub so it can be our £2 tub
Sealing it as DH pinched the £2 coins we already had!!! Was not a happy bunny when I found out they had gone! [/STRIKE]*Sealed and has the first £2 coin in
*
- [STRIKE]Update spreadsheet [/STRIKE]*No need, everything the same*
- Update[STRIKE] spreadsheet and [/STRIKE]siggy with new numbers
- [STRIKE]Update diary with August spends and Grocery Challenge[/STRIKE] *Done*
- [STRIKE]Remember to take tablets at lunch time[/STRIKE] *Remembered*
- Book Vet for Gizmo *5:40 tonight*
- Do a little flying at some point before bed depending on how head is
Rang Vets to get an appointment and lovely lady on the phone told me I should be at home watching him, I would love to be home to keep an eye on him but I don't get paid for staying at home. Told Mum and DH and they both said to ignore her, he will be fine till tonight
hope so, doesn't stop me feeling guilty that he's poorly and I'm not there.
