    Hey Glowgirl :)

I use OCM too and it's great!

Totally agree with Feline Princess, my face was a nice dark tan but faded the day after the wedding, so I too would apply SS every other day.

I do use much less make up when tanned, but I use Elemental Beauty mineral make up (the healing version) and it is very light indeed, but can be built up for more coverage. So just a light dusting when tanned and an extra layer when not. It works very well & the EB doesn't clog up my skin at all & looks very natural. Best make up I have ever used!

Thank you girls:TI just realised that all of the product, or at least some of it will come off when I do my OCM tonight, I will give alternate nights a try out and see what happens but next time I'm going for just a very very light layer, honestly I cant believe I'm writing about tanning my face after just one week on the OCM. Think I might of solved the make up thing, firstly I think I just need to get used to not wearing foundation, it has been years so this might take a while. My main reason is that I need to cover broken veins (see other thread;)) and odd marks here and there so after some advice from my lovely friend I have bought a palette of colours from dermablend which is specifically for covering things rather than full coverage, she uses hers to cover thread veins and her palette lasted 2.5 years;)at a cost of £7.95 plus p&p so not bad:D

GFN123, I have tried Elemental Beauty but wasn't too keen I felt it was rather flat and made me itch I am a fan of mmu and my fav brand is Lily Lolo its just that I'm such a product tart I find it hard to stick to things and also they seem to be less effective after a while no matter how much I love them, thankfully this hasn't happened with ss yet;)
Thank you for this site Martin

I have heard really good things about Dermablend. After all the treatment (as per other thread ;) ) I now need very little coverage so the EB is great for me as anything liquid really irritated my skin. I was a total product wh0re before that though!!

Sounds like your OCM & tanning are going great. Fab that you can now get away without foundation - liberating :D Having had years of terrible skin & finally getting sorted I can appreciate how good that feels! :):)

Yes, but kind of scary been working full make up since the age of 13:eek:just did my OCM, it is truly amazing how my skin has responded to this, even my wrinkles look better:rotfl:The idea with the Dermablend is that I kind of paint out the bits I don't like, it comes in a selection of about six colours so I can blend to suit myself, wether I have fake tan on or not, really cant see myself going out with nothing on my face though:)

Hi welcome to the tanning thread kmckee999:) I don't have much time today but in short, yes Siennasol would appear to be the best product at the moment, the Extreme is 16% ususally more than your average spray tan, ask any questions you like and one of us will try to answer you as soon as possible:)

Sorry hun don't have much time either today, I always struggle with ss and working out the different strengths, try the Celebrity Secrets site the labeling is much clearer, a lot depends on how dark you want to be and what skin tone you are to start with, I use Siennasol Extreme which is 16% and I layer but I have very pale pink toned colouring so yes its a lovely dark natural looking colour on me but maybe not right for everyone, I might be about with a bit more time tonight or over the weekend so will try to help a bit more if your still stuck:)

Siennasol Extreme is not as scary as it sounds, it will work with the colour of your skin, for instance, if you had paler skin than your friend & you both used the same solution, you would always end up paler.

Siennasol comes in bronze (10% DHA) or Extreme (16% DHA), most salons custom mix the 2 together for intance 50/50 would give you a normal dark (13% DHA).

As Glowgirl said the labeling is a bit confusing (but we are working on it as we speak), we are also developing a tanning gel which should be easier to apply with a tanning mit.

    Thanks,

    Richard

    BTW I work for Siennasol.

Hi everyone:) My facial tanning has been a nightmare:eek:it landed up with me having dark bits that had been scars (bad skin years ago) a long long time ago so as much as my skin is improved I wont be going down that route again plus in my head it didn't 'feel' right, this is certainly more down to me than any product however I am pleased to report that my new improved skin means that I now have a wider choice of foundations:D Oh, just remembered the dermablend was utter c**p, I sent it back, it was just an oily mess that slipped away after about two hours despite me using the setting powder which made my skin dry:confused:and it didn't cover thread veins for more than about half an hour.

Back to tanning, thank you funkypumpkin for a helpful post, I, of course will be sticking to the extreme but its good to know the strength of the other products, what strength will the gel be you are developing? Also I am sure a fake tan friendly no colour mosituriser would go down well:) I also have to say I ordered some ss yesterday and it came this morning so well done:T

How is everyone getting on?, especially the newbies:) Any interesting new products or developments? Is everyone sticking to tanning now its cold?
