Terrible Tuesday ~ Master bedroom and Landing
DONE
I cleaned the skirting boards in my bathroom instead of doing the floor in the spare bathroom. I now need to make up a list for tomorrow...
I'm currently staying at my parents, in the extension that was built for my grandparents (which is where my brother and I had our bedrooms moved to when we went to uni). It's basically a three bedroom house (bigger than my own house!). My parents have turned the sitting room into my dad's office, and the kitchen into my mum's studio. I think it's been a major expense for them having it here, but they might as well use it, given that it seems to cause more problems if it is shut up and not used.
My list for tomorrow... (subject to change, as my mother has her own opinions...)
Wednesday - bathroom, study and other grotty places!
Level One
Clean the stair lift (it's disgusting as it hasn't been used for a while)
Swap bathroom shelves
Level Two
Wipe all switches/sockets in bedroom/on landing
Empty and clean out the bins
Wipe landing skirthing boards & door frames
Level Three
Wipe kitchen skirting boards
Wipe down storage heaters in extension
Clean loos/basins etc in extension
Toots - glad things went better today, and hope you don't have any more smelly travelling companions. I hope you have a lovely time with your visitors... who are coming to see YOU, and not the state of your home.
Rosepink - (((hugs))) I think everyone has said all there is to say. I hope you've had a better day today
JillD - hope being back here helps you get back on track
TAG - sounds like you're doing incredibly well. Keep up the good work
Jo - be brutal with your stuff. You know you don't need it. If you can't bring yourself to chuck it all now, bag it up, put it somewhere inconvenient, and anything that you haven't used in the next month/3 months (your choice) can then be sold/donated.

I'm not a muggle...I'm just magically challenged0 -
Tag - hens peck at seedlings and play in dust baths (aka the veg plot). I use things like jam jars over plants to protect them till they are big enough to survive. They also generate compost at a healthy rate! Buff Orpingtons are meant to be better than most hens and I will have those next time. We are having problems with the naughty puppy attacking the chickens atm.
Do raised beds help Hex? Just wondering as we want chickens too, but definitly won't do that till we move (not really the room at the mo) and although I'll do the pots for now, I was going to do raised beds when we've settled - do they jump up?
JillD - you sound just like me - Both me and hubby now have good jobs but still no money, depression is always there in the background, stopping me moving forward (I am conquering that slowly - self talk makes me do stuff now whereas I used to talk myself out of it instead...) Until I came on here I didn't even have a social life as such, now I go out more and think about stuff I want to do and am even looking at exercising!!! And all because of the encouragement on here - people (mentioning no names) can knock this as much as they want, but the support on here is second to absolutly none - it is a friendly, loving place where no-one judges, only offers support and advice and, on a soppy note, I am so pleased to have met everyone on here and have you all as a part of my life, oh, and my house is cleaner too, which is a sort of side benefit...
Sounds silly, but I used to think that was it in my life, in my 40's and nothing to look forward too - now I have aims and goals and things look brighter - there is light at the end of the tunnel honestly, just takes time to get through it...
OK, back on track before I get too emotional...
Flying wise - I have done another 5 hours of accounts... been watching TV while I do it, but Decembers accounts all done... :j:j:j Just January's to go, but half done already, so should be easier...;)
Cleaning wise, I have been clearing up after myself so hopefully catching up will not be too bad on Thursday - we'll see...
