Tag - hens peck at seedlings and play in dust baths (aka the veg plot). I use things like jam jars over plants to protect them till they are big enough to survive. They also generate compost at a healthy rate! Buff Orpingtons are meant to be better than most hens and I will have those next time. We are having problems with the naughty puppy attacking the chickens atm.

Mmmm. I think perhaps I might limit us to two then and not four. Two should provide us with enough eggs a week do you think? One a day between them?

I'm a bit concerned about Sweep with chickens. Mr Tag reckons she'd be OK but I think she'd see them as fair game:rolleyes: There is a chicken thread on here somewhere. I'll have to have a look.

On a flying front. I have two wet feet cos I've just rescued the 3 loads of washing from the rain . On the plus side only 2 things need ironing:D

I suppose there had to be other people out there as crazy as me! Bands...never tried that one, but now I will. I wonder what else I could do...flowers, or herbs, or baked goods...or even an ABC of categories to come up with ABCs for... :D

oooooh thats a good one , I like that one :D

Mudders - I totally forgot about the Ikea incident, which is werd cos I was thinling about that the other day! Anyway good jo, the kids were messing about on a trolley at the end and I would have freaked (more than I did, they were really winding me up) if I had rememebr about your wrist.
Thankfully we all came back in one piece. We decided on some storage for the playroom, and a computer desk thingy, but we'll need to order it to be delivered cos it wont fit in the car. It was a nice enough day, DS was a PITA leaping around like an idiot bumping into folk and generally pushing it. The 2 girls were wee angels though so I suppose 2 out of 3 aint bad. At the end they each got to choose a toy. DD2 got a rabbit, DD1 got a guinea pig (she has called it Katie LOL) and DS got a massive dog which is almost bigger than him (he's nearly 6). We wer eflapping around with DD2 over something and each thought the other had checked the price of this stupid dog. At the end after we left I checked the recipt. It was £11:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:
I was so annoyed. The girls things were £2 each, aside from the fact £11 is way too much on a random toy, he didnt even deserve it as theyd been told they could only havea toy if they were good and he wasnt good at all. I think we were secretly wanting to avoid the inevitable scene if he didnt get it. I know I know, I am so annoyed with myself, Anyway its done and he went to bed with "Tom" (the dog's name) a very happy little boy. So Katie and Tom. How funny. Not Fluffy or Lucky or Spot :rotfl:

Been to Crystal Peaks again having discovered what there is there and have bought a new linen blouse/shirt for me from T K Maxx:D

And you didn't come and talk to us?! :p We were there today as well. I needed a few bits plus the food shopping. Next time you are this way you will have to call in for a coffee :) I love using MSMoney for keeping tabs on our spends, I can predict my cashflow (or otherwise!) for any period I choose. Also useful for completing the ole tax return (which I have had notification for, dated 6th April )

Toots glad the treatment went better today, sounds like a good solution :T 2 down 11 to go.

For those who have trouble sleeping (I include me in this) I sometimes try to imagine writing the numbers 100 to 0 backwards literally ie forming the numbers backwards in my mind's eye. First time I tried I only got to about 96 before I was away with the fairies.

Flying erm........... DW loaded, unloaded and partly reloaded. Post dealt with, shopping done and put away. And perhaps most importantly a beer decluttered :p

DS1 was given a suggestion which we found helpful, which was scaling - on a 0-10 scale (0 is really down, 5 ordinary, and 10 over the top happy) Just monitor it a couple of times a day. Then, jot down a note about what you were doing at the time. Sometimes you can begin to see a pattern emerging. The next step is to work on evening it out, developing a coping stategy - again, this is not a substitute for proper medical advice, I'm just mentioning it because it helped him.
This is a great idea. I am going to try this from tomorrow. Thanks serena :)
