TAG and others too , thanks for the shopping budgeting post. Lts of ideas and reminders.
We are veggie so no meat to buy which helps, although quorn prodcts can be pricey. I do try and buy it in a bit of bulk when on offer though. Kids and DH wont eat beans or chickpeas or lentils  though they have lentils wthout realising it in shepherds pie etc. We get through loads of eggs but we arent allowed chickens where we live, and DH wouldnt be fussed on that idea anyway.
I shop at Asda. Can't face traipsing round ots of different places with kids in tow.
I buy SP where I can. Havent tried SP baked beans, do they do them and are they ok I wonder. Must read around on the board a bit more again. DD2 is mega fussy and all she will reliably eat is toast, baked beans, melon and dried fruit type things. I seem to go through endless ceral bars, raisins, yoghurt coated fruit pieces, humzinger bars etc all of which are really expensive. She doesnt like dried apricots annoyingly. And she wont eat pasta which is a shame as the other 2 would live on it. She is still in nappies but I use Asda own (not SP, not sure if I could do that ....... probably fine but I would just worry!)
We go through endless pancakes, crumpets, breadsicks and SP rich tea. Like you SP frozen veg except peas, its got to be Birds Eye petit pois!!
I bake all my own bread with free fresh yeast and SP flour. I use sunflower oil not butter and no skimmed mkilk powder, I reckon its about 20p a loaf. DS wont eat it though so I buy baps for his packed lunches. I think I just need to stay a bit more focussed and meal plan more, that is definitely the key.
Hoping to be able to harvest salad leaves, tomatoes, courgettes this year, hubby wants peas, that sounds fiddly to me, and I got beans and radishes to go in too though noone else will eat them except me. If the peppers pan out that would be great, and I must get some cucumber seeds too. Maybe some potatoes ? I rediscovered 3 strawberry plants in the arden yesterday, they didnt do a lot last year so I wonder if I feed them p this year will that help ? Must check greenfingers.
Part of the problem is our Asda sells EVERYTHING and I end up buying something clothing wise for the kids every time. Must stop !Jan GC: £202.65/£450 (as of 4-1-12)

well - I think of you when I'm over that way - do you use the Morrisons near there?
Yes it's the main place I shop these days, DH is close by so I get flowers for him from there.
Right off to watch a bit on the googlebox before bed. Will try harder tomorrow. Night all xxOfficial Mascot and Chief Cheerleader for the 'Mortgage Free in Three' Gang0 -

Ds2 just started coughing really badly and retching so i ran into his room and picked up tupperware tub i keep my pegs in ( he's got a thing about playing with my pegs) and caught the sick just in time.:o I'm not sure if he's got a bug or if he just coughed too much. He's insisting he doesn't need a sick bowl.0 -
Hi Valli,I shop at that Morrisons all the time, only about 10 mins away from me.
Hoping to do the flying tomorrow but need to take DS1 to hospital in Valliland ,he has an appointment at the Asthma Clinic(fingers crossed,he hasnt had a severe attack for 18 months now....on a bad note he has given up his kickboxing as he is finding it too much)
After that I need to come home drop off DS1 pick up DS2 go to Sheffield drop DS2 at Games Workshop and go to Babygroup, what a day...
Have just S&S kitchen, washed the pots ,wiped work surfaces and cleaned all the hob,so at least that is done for now.
TLC Toots, glad it went well today and you have found something which helps you through.

gratefulforhelp wrote: »Rosepink I would echo what Sunnygirl said about ADs, if some don't suit, others may. Best advice I have had when depressed is to "do more of the things that work for you, and less of those that do not" sounds really facile, but if you think about it you will probably know what makes you feel a bit better. Mine were less alcohol and coffee, more sleep, more exercise, more outdoors, seeing people who were supportive and not seeing those who dragged me down. Thinking of you.
The cut out the stiff that makes you feel low and vice versa is so obvious.
For me it would be:
- less alcohol, less rubbish food, less facebook, less hiding at home, less shopping (instant high but prolonged low afterwards)
- more sleep (earlier nights), more exercise, more 5-a-day, more seeing friends
Thanks so much for this advice, I am going to print it out and read it regularly
